Lager in the UK and Ireland is pish compared to the stuff you get in Europe. I was in Poland recently and the beer is absolutely lovely. Though in Northern Ireland my favourite would be Harp Lager, Tennents is very popular but its horrible. Carling is nice but its yet to take off in Northern Ireland yet. And the only place you can get a pint of John Smiths is in a Wetherspoons pub. Northern Ireland has shite ales compared to England aswell :(

no lager for me. i'm an ale girl--preferably a nice mcewan's 80%, which i can't find here in the states very easily, so i usually settle for newcastle. sometimes i go for a nice stout, however.
lager is for sissies. i like my beer like i like my men, flavorful and deep.
