Anyone else like them? I saw them last night and they were rockingly good, they somewhat remind of mid 80s New Order / Bunnymen / Wedding Present. The lead singer expecially reminds me of a young Bernard Sumner, in his intensity.

Saw them 2 years ago in Stockholm. Suporting Interpol.
They were better live than Interpol :)
They wear the same outfits as ACR did and they're insane live.
I haven't gotten the new album yet but Remember Me and The Lonely were my favorites off Decline.
they're certainly insane live. their keyboardist/2nd guitar player/utility player would walk off stage playing a single snare drum, walking into the crowd, all the way to the back of the venue. he even crowd surfed with it for the final song!
Sadly, they didn't have the trees/foliage decorations but there was a prop bird or two onstage.
I read that there is often unusual trouble at their gigs. The audience stand quietly while the band have a huge fight?
I'm looking forward to seeing them at Glastonbury.

I absolutely love them. Two absolutely fantastic albums, and there set at glasto last year was one of the best gigs i have ever seen. 
I saw British Sea Power live in London last month. They were completely insane and so was the audience. They're so much better live than on record. "Open Season" is a great album, but I don't like the production because it made the group sound so soft and mellow. Someone once said that they are the best live act in the world today and I have to agree.

I've seen BSP a few times now (and will be seeing them again on Monday here in Boston... 
) They rocked every time, their shows are indeed a bit insane... Yan was, um, a bit intoxicated last time I saw them, but their playing was still spot on. :) How does Open Season sound live, and which songs are they playing? It's definitely a more mellow album than much of Decline of British Sea Power was, but I don't think I could choose a favourite between the two...

The new songs they played sound way heavier live. They played at least five songs from "Open Season": "It Ended On An Oily Stage", "Oh Larsen B", "Please Stand Up", "North Hanging Rock" and "How Will I Ever Find My Way Home?", if I remember right.

Nope. Doves, Killers and BSP at glasto that night and not missing that under any circumstances.
Please Stand Up is nice and anthemic, but I sometimes find myself singing Love My Way by The Psychedelic Furs over the top of it.

Not really - I need to give them more of a chance instead of dismissing them as "those weirdos with the shrubbery". That single got my interest though, I'll have to give the album a go.

Thanks, JV and One Brain! I'm really looking forward to seeing them again, and I've been trying to convert my friends too (dragging them to gigs seems to work...) ;) And very nice pictures, JV! :)
