Hey people,
Thought we could start a review thread for the last and probably best of the Prequel movies.
I am going tonight and will give my review later. All accounts from the movie have been postive...I am really looking forward to seeing Vader again...

I thought NO fans were also big SW fans....oh well.
saw it last night and was totally blown away. I won't reveal any plot details, but I am sure you all know the demise of Anakin. It was done rather well.
I would rank it up there with the quality of the Original Star Wars movie and The Empire Strikes Back.
Yoda proves himself as the baddest green dude in the universe. Palpatine has a huge role in the movie. I was really surprised by the amount of screen time he was given during the movie.
The lightsaber duels are the best of any movie in the entire series. There are cool plot twists that I didn't expect and 99% of your questions about what happens to whom and how are pretty much answered.
Although Lucas describes this movie as being the darkest of the 3, which is true, it has a lot of good laughs in it which were all better than any laugh we received in the first two prequel movies.
The duel of all duels at the end was done really well. I liked that there was some dialogue between Anakin and Obi-Wan during their duel...the lack of dialogue between Darth Maul and Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon was disappointing. Not too many cliche lines spoken during that sequence which made it cool. It made it seem like there was some real love(brotherly) between Obi-Wan and Anakin.
Overall, best of the prequels and ranks up with TESB. See it!! You won't regret it...it is a million times better than Attack of the Clones or Phantom Menace.

A million times better than the first two prequels? Hmmm...that only brings it up around the level of Friday the 13th part 7. Pass.
got back from it tonight. great movie. liked the effects (of course) liked especially seeing the events that lead up to creation of the characters. the audience in the theater clapped and cheered yoda, which was nice. nothings better then a "good v evil" story to rouse people. wouldn't have missed seeing it in the theater for anything.
Yawn. Completely flat.
I actaually read a review where the author stated that the ending wasn't so happy, and kind of left it as a cliffhanger. HELLO. This hollywood suckass was probably too young to have seen the original "holy trinity", therefore not aware that Sith wasn't the actual final episode.
The film reminded me of a bad 70's porn movie. Some badly acted, bluntly written, dialogue scenes followed by over the top action/effects sequences. Repeated about 15 times. Pizza delivery? I didn't order any pizza. waha, waha, wah...
Yoda was pretty cool, and hearing James Earl Jones bust out the Vadar voice was amusing. Although, I can hear his distinctive Vadar voice everytime I use a payphone.

I must be honest here... it's the first Star Wars movie that I actually enjoyed a lot.
You know, others were ok, but it's "Star Wars", so you know what to expect and it was ok, but nothing great.
But this one is simply amazing... 2h30 that feels like 10 minutes...
Maybe I was the same when the first one came out, but I was so young that I can't say, and I watched Return of the Jedi on our TV when it just came out in video...
Episode I and II, liked them, but well, wasn't hooked.. but now I am.
Seriously, the CGI are so wonderful you don't notice them...
Anyways, was worth it, even if I saw the french translation! I'll have to listen to it in english to ear James Earl Jones once again ;)

Saw it tonight. thought it was the best of the first three episodes. Notice a nice loophole for another film when Yoda tells Obi Wan about his new training. Need me one of those Naboo Chrome Jobs.
Mike, do you have a dvd of Star Trek fisting? Specifically Yeoman Rand.
i thought it was second only to "Empire" great quality DVD's floating around lower manhattan like crazy the day of the release. held out and saw it in the theater amazing

First off, I went through Dial-Up Hell this weekend all because a few clouds hovered overhead, so I'm a bit pissy right now.
My opinion of Sith (which I saw last night) isn't quite formed, which means another viewing will be required. That's usually a good sign from moi: if I want to see it again to form a definite opinion, usually it will end up favorably. But for now, I can only offer my first impressions:
The final of the original "prequel" certainly lived up to the reviews of it being "darker". There was less exposition in this one than in the first two, but I felt like I needed a degree in Poli Sci in order to understand the crawl at the beginning. 
The whole "turning" of Anakin was nicely done (you knew it was coming, you just never knew why before). He actually was conflicted about it, it wasn't a "okay, now I'm a baddie". Plus, you got the whole notion that Anakin and Palpatine were at odds even from the beginning (right away, he was looking to off the emperor and take control. That seems to be big with the bad guys in Star Wars, kinda like the Mob)
Thank god there was no Jar-Jar 
This certainly exceeded the previous two of the prequel trilogy (though I was more than willing to give the second a positive review because it worked in spite of itself), but I'm not sure it is worthy of comparisons to the originals. "Empire" is certainly its immediate forefather, but I think it'd be fairer to say that it's "Return of The Jedi" with the decisions reversed.
And that's my take for now

(JJ goes into Obi-Wan "waiting for the blow" pose from New Hope. DV cuts at him. JJ disappears, only his cloak falls to the floor. Star Wars fans cheer)
There is a Jar Jar in Episode 3... he's there! He's not talking thank god for that :D
BTW, if we saw 1-2-3 before 4-5-6, there would have been no surprise at all in 4-5-6...
Just like there were no surprise in 1-2-3 though!
Jar Jar had one line in E3. When Ani and Obi wan returned from saving Palpatine and Ani got the honors to take credit for it JAr Jar bumped into Senator Organa and said "Csuse mee."
