Just bought it today on the day of its release, thanks to Sebastien for letting me know there was a coupon in the newspaper, so it cost me only 9.99$ CDN to get it!

Any feedback yet? I didn't listen to it yet... :music:

My review: more of the same.

Actually, I haven't heard it, but I defy anyone to prove me wrong.

What's wrong with this?

I mean, it's their 3rd album, not really the time to start doing gay disco... :skeptic:

Leave that to Radiohead ;)

I thought all bands were supposed to switch to gay disco for their third album. It's a rule of the music biz.

Great great cd!! I don't own the first album but I think is their best. No bad songs, no filler. I buy the new White Stripes cd too... not bad.. maybe I'm wrong but I had expect more songs like Blue Orchid (who really rocks), but the whole album sounds like Led Zep meet Syd Barrett, witch is not a bad thing.

But Coldplay... amazing stuff and I'm nota big fan!

It's OK, sounds like Coldplay. It will grow on me. The last one was bland until one day it clicked big time and I suddenly loved it. After some of the bashing I've read of it elsewhere, I'm just glad it's not a bag of shite.

I will listen to it more carefully, but one track is credited to Kraftwerk (according to Sebastien) for their use of Computer Love's chorus....

I didn't notice on my initial listening, but listening while driving is not the best way to focus on that!

Yeah Chris Martin did acknowledge stealing the Computer Love tune.

Dowmloaded X & Y this week and like it a lot although there is the argument for it being whiny brit rock etc..Listened to A Rush Of Blood To The Head this morning for the first time in ages and it sounded really really depressing compared to X & Y.Didn`t find it that depressing when it first came out.Except for The bloody Scientist which is really depressing!.

I like it better than the last one. It's very nice. Reminds me very of the swedish band Kent.

Heard it several times and can now say there are at least 5 very good tracks on that album which make worth buying it. Tracks # 2, 3, 4 and 5 are just great, especially #3 and #5 which happen to be my favorite...

The other highlights would be their single, Speed of Sound, and then track #9 which I like quite a lot too.

The rest is OK but hasn't reached to me yet.

Ive found out the version i downloaded of Talk is a different version from the official CD.Ive now heard the CD version and it is not as good as the original.I find the drums are a bit clumpy and the different lyrics are a bit too Colplay cliche too much self pitying. The original has better lyrics and the guitar and drums soar more. Both tracks do however keep the Kraftwerk melody.

As for the rest of the album i`m loving lesser mentioned tracks A Message , Low , The Hardest Part and Swallowed In The Sea.
