Now I'm not promoting zoloft, but I started retaking zoloft 6 months ago. Over that time, I have lost 30lbs. I have not changed eating habits, excercised more,or doing drugs more often. So this is the only explanation I have, for losing weight. Im 6 feet tall and now weigh 165lbs. I havent been that light for 4years.

Pardon the metric system.

Nobody probably cares but im super bored at work.

Not to offend you but I thought you said that you lost 300 lb! Then I re-read the post. 30lb from taking Zoloft? Good job!

Zoloft causes weight loss? Sing me up, doc! :D

Hell, I have a *gut* going on, I need to do something about it. But I don't want to do the fad diet see-saw either. That's why I'm all about liposuction :thumb:

Zoloft® (sertraline HCl) is a type of antidepressant known as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It's approved to treat depression, social anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in adults over age 18. It is also approved for OCD in children and adolescents age 6-17 years.

Well... nice to be on a diet, but do you actually need to be on a depression ?!?!?!

Nicos, if YOU lived in New York, you would need an anti-depressant!!!

I should have been more clear. I am not on zoloft to lose weight, but i struggle with depression sometimes. Losing weight is an added benefit for sure.

i lived in Houston Texas for about 4 Months when i was 16 and it was much more depressing than New York, 120 degrees all day(okay it was summertime) but to buy a can of soda i had to walk for 45 Minutes to the nearest Store! and all they had on TV was 'Rasslin'

Texas stereotypes eh?

A guy I know moved to Dallas from Quebec, he said most people there only talk about football and eat steak :D

So it was a cultural experience, because in Montreal, you talk about lots of things and, well, in terms of food you find anything..

Now, was that true? :D

the one thing that i found funny in texas was this kid that everyone made fun of because he wore a cowboy hat to school, and i thought i would be made fun of because i didnt wear one:laugh:

hey nick how does montreal compare to NYC?

I've been drinking a lot of Minute Maid OJ (the 15.2 fl oz bottles ) lately. I don't know if that makes me any healthier or not, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

For one thing, it's much smaller ;)

I was kind of impressed in Manathan, each street looks like the main street of Montreal, that is impressive... there might be only 2 or 3 streets like that in Montreal (St-Catherine being the biggest one)

We also have a park in the middle of the town, a mountain (sorry, dead volcano actually) in fact, and due to city restrictions, no building can be higher than the mountain.

It's an island, usually the west part is english and the east part is french, separated by St-Laurent street...

Montreal is known for his european style, they used the old Montreal as Paris is many american movies, and they even use it for New York in some :evil4:, Montreal is also known for its nightlife, but it might be pale compared to New York of course...

One thing though, by coming in September, you miss most of the summer activities... Montreal is a festival city, we have one each week all summer!

Anyways, I suggest you visit this site for all you need to know, and if you do find some time, I strongly suggest to plan one day in QUEBEC CITY, it's a 3h road trip only (so 6h total), and it's well known as one of the best tourist location in North America... the city is just beautiful and it's well worth it, trust me...

This might give you an idea of Quebec City:

And a few from Montréal itself:
