Suppose you've had long enough to digest the sporting weekend. What has stuck in the national throat the most, being beaten by the worst side in the world or being beaten (again) by England?:D

Being a transplanted South African living in Aus for the last 6 years I've copped plenty in my time over here, so I've had the best few days rubbing it in - Aus also got comfortably knocked out of the Confed Cup, which doesn't bode well for the World Cup qualifying game against the 5th placed South American team. I do think the Poms shouldn't get ahead of themselves though - a lot can happen in 5 tests. I don't think Aus have realised yet how much they're going to miss a certain S Waugh.

PUNTERS across the world lost millions of dollars when Australia crashed to Bangladesh.

Proving there is no such thing as a certainty, Australia started the match at odds of 100-1 on, or $1.01, while Bangladesh were $21 outsiders.

TAB Sportsbet took a bet of $50,000 from a punter chasing a profit of $500 and another wager of $20,000.

Centrebet cleaned up with two bets of $30,000, one bet of $20,000 and another two bets of $10,000.

Only a handful of punters took the long odds about Bangladesh.
