Here is the canadian line up... :skeptic:

  • Bryan Adams
  • Jann Arden
  • Bachman-Cummings band
  • Barenaked Ladies
  • Blue Rodeo
  • Bruce Cockburn
  • Céline Dion (satellite)
  • Gordon Lightfoot
  • Motley Crue
  • Deep Purple
  • Our Lady Peace
  • Simple Plan
  • Sam Roberts
  • Tragically Hip

You can still bet 2$ on the Rolling Stones though...

You poor bastards! and I thought the UK line up was poor.

I don't know - a fiery rendition of "Smoke on the Water" would be just the precursor to the panties getting flung onstage when Gordo cranks out "Softly".

What, they couldn't get Crash Test Dummies to reform?

The UK line up isn't really that bad, but the US line up is pretty poor - especially now that Michael Jackson might be on it.

MJ is going? Does he know the "poor" is referred to the "quality" of the line up? :evil4:

It's not certain yet, but there have been articles in my local paper (I live in Philadelphia, after all) about the possibility of MJ singing here for Live 8. Mainly, the city is worried that he'll be booed and beaten up like any team that plays the Flyers or Eagles.

Wouldn't it be cool if Philly sent a 5-year old out to beat him up? You know the 5-year old could do it, and wouldn't it be poetic justice? :evil4:

The 5 year old and his father would be better.Showing Junior how to deal with bullies of Jackson's sort:angry:will be a valuable lesson..

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Sex Pistols! Ha ha, should be good for a laugh with Uncle Johnnie and the boys. Saw them on their "Filty Lucre" tour a few years back and they were surprisingly tight.

It's about time Motley Crue and Gordon Lightfoot were on the same bill.

Now if they could only work that Metallica/James Taylor show...

Most 5 year olds in Philly - even those not from the ghettos or Badlands - could beat him up.
