if you could have the vocal abilities of any singer, who would it be?

i would choose johnette napolitano of concrete blonde. lordy, i would give one of my appendages to have her voice. crackly and raspy, like she smokes 2 packs a day, yet what an incredibly beautiful alto. sigh.

Good choice Babe, i love the 10,000 maniacs,

Personally i would choose John Otway

John Lennon's always been my first love vocally, but I'd have to add Ian in there or Lou Reed. Also, Rivers Cuomo (Weezer) is very underestimated as a vocalist, I think. :thumb:

Either David McComb (RIP, always) of The Triffids, or maybe Steve Kilbey of The Church.

Try "Perry Como", unless there's some other Peri Como that I've never heard of

Of the old-time singers, I always prefered Bobby Darin over Sinatra (I realize in some circles that is considered heresay), but Ole Blue Eyes is pretty good in his own right. :singer: :beer2: (that's supposed to be the Smilie Rat Pack)

Loud: Max Cavalera (Sepultura / Soulfly) Soft: Nick Drake If I was female: Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star)

Really?

I've always thought of John Lennon as having the perfect voice. And I love Joey Ramone's nasal New York delivery. :bow2:

Annie Lennox. Natalie Merchant as a close second.
