Going there next Thursday for 5 days. Is it as good as everyone makes out, more importantly is the beer still cheap. Will there be many Czech people about or will they be on there holidays during July and will it be full of English, Irish, German & American tourists ![]()

Don't know. I went there 4 years ago and at this time it was still very cheap. It's a beutiful city tough.
If you like East-European cities you could also try Warsaw at some time. I was there last week. It's an interesting city, very cheap when you are used to European standards and also a very good place for shopping.
Are there actually any New Order fans from Warsaw on this board? In September I'm going to Warsaw for 6 months...
Just back from there 2 weeks ago, the beer in the main square and surronding areas aint cheap nowadays compared to when I was there in 1999, expect to pay around £3+ a beer! you take a 5 minute walk from the centre you can find cheaper places, say £1 a beer!
Drugs a plenty if thats your thing but again, very pricey!
strip joint come brothel called DARLINGS is a definate go'er, watch out for the midget prostitute though, she likes dipping hands in pockets and stealing stuff from folk!
The women are like super models, but the chances of pulling are slender as they dont want much to do with the Brits!
Yeah i've been to Warsaw and Krakow Rob, fantastic cities to visit and the beer was really cheap there.
Had a feeling the beer would be more expensive in the Old Town/Wensles Square etc but didn't realise it was going to be near the £3 mark.
Eastern Europe is great though ![]()
Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and has alot to offer, but it's way too touristy for my liking.
Anyone who likes the charm of Eastern Europe should try Lithuania. You won't be disappointed! I used to live there for a while and had the time of my life. ![]()
After Prague try:
Stockholm, Budapest, Krakow, Tallinn, Vilnius, Riga, St. Petersburg, Ulan Bator.
