And I'm Proud to Be An American While At Least George Bush is Free To Rape Me of my Civil Rights That the Gov't Took Away From Me And I proudly Bend down And Let You conduct An Anal Search on Me Cause There is no Doubt I love this land God Bless the USA!!!!!!!!
(every time I see those "support our troops" stickers, I wonder how many of those folks ever actually served...)
did anyone watch the daily show last night? rob corddry did a piece 'from london' where he talks about the bombings and wonders where the bumper stickers and waving flags are. 'i like my sorrow in t-shirt form!' he says.
When I saw "War of the Worlds" last week, I couldn't stop being surprised when you see Tom Cruise in front of his house and every god damned house has an american flag on it...
There's proud, and there's proud.. I don't even remember when I saw an house with a flag over here!! Occasionnally on national holidays, but other than that.. I saw more greek & portuguese flags in the last euro cup!!
patriotism in the states is the new religion. If aliens were attacking the world why would you put a natinal flag up?

That was very funny. At least I wasn't the only one wondering why England's country/western singers weren't releasing songs about putting a boot up someone's ass.

I am originally from Littleton, Colorado USA (the home of Columbine High School), and my god there were a TON of "We Are All Columbine" stickers all over the place. It was absurd. It was a huge commercial enterprise in the area for quite some time. Ridiculous.

aah, i miss those mountains sometimes.
"Jingoist"...I learn something every day. I did a define: google search and looked it up; here is what I found:
Jingoist: chauvinist: an extreme bellicose nationalist
Indeed, I hate those magnets as well. how much do you want to bet that there are thousands of people out there getting pretty rich off of those magnetic stickers??? What a joke...do you really think the money is going to the families of those who lost a son or daughter in Iraq? Lord knows that they need the money....most of the casualities are people that come from a low-economic and social background. You won't find many rich Americans among the death count.
My friends and I one time while in a parking lot took off the magnets from as many cars as possible and stuck them all onto one car. There were almost 40 or 50 magnets stuck on the back of this BMW we found...it looked hilarious! Hope we didn't f--- up the electrical system with all that magnetism???
