Watching the Mariners today, I was reminded of how much I hate metal bats in college baseball, that "ping" sound just isn't right. After the Oregon State Water Rats, errr, Gay Sheep Daters, had made it to the College World Series, I was hounded by their "fans", claiming that baseball was back. I told 'em that with the metal bats, they were just a glorified fast pitch hardball team, and to please come back when they could afford some real wooden bats.
