english and high school russian (i can read it better than i can speak it...).

I took German in high school, but remember almost nothing. Das tut mir leid. I also took French, in college, but remember almost nothing of that. Apparently, I hardly went to class. I can understand written French to some degree, but spoken French is Greek to me. Just like when the Brits speak.

When I graduate, I'd like to continue learning Italian (I'm at intermediate level now), and pick up French again. Maybe German after that. I would learn Spanish, because it's useful here, but it's too close to Italian, and I'd just get confused.

I taught myself cyrillic when i was in Serbia; it's mostly the same as Russian cyrillic, but has some differences. I also picked up some basic Serbian while was there. Before I returned, I stopped in Italy, but kept responding to questions in Italian with Serbian. It took me a week to get used to responding in Italian.

Oh, I forgot, I apparently took Spanish in Junior high school, but the only Spanish I really know is from growing up in California.

cyrillic is pretty much the same wherever you go, with one or two letter differences (i.e. the 'i' is different in russian and ukrainian cyrillic). it's very easy to learn and as russian is basically a phonetic language, easy to pronounce, as well!

English and enough Spanish and German to push people around.

German, English and a bit French (2 years crash course in school). I had Latin for 4 1/2 years in school - but I can't speak that...

I was speaking to the guitarist of Millionaire in french after their gig, I wanted their drumsticks, all because of Digital giving me theirs so I'm going to make a collection. I was completely drunk so my french was awful then. ;/

Both Cyrillic and Latin letters are used here with Cyrillic being official, but I've totally forgotten to write in Cyrillic. Probably because I use English a lot while surfing the net. :D

English French, grade A O Level but mostly forgotten German, more on instinct than anything else because when you have German blood, you already know the language. Die katze ist tot.

Croatian is a work in progress.

Since a couple of years ago, the children in Sweden learn english from age 9, and then another language from age 12.

Hopefully my kids will learn more than I did.

I had english from age 10, and german from age 13.

My best friend was born in Gdansk, and came here as a child. Her husband was also born in Gdansk, and came here as an adult. They both live in New York, upstate. Maybe next time I'm in New York we can all get together at a cafe in NYC or something and you can speak with them...

German (or Austrian because people from the North of Germany have problems to understand my dialect), English, Italian and I'm starting to learn Polish in September.

choose some germanwings or ryanair - trip will take a few minutes, dont drive - there is too many stupidos on polish roads

i'm ignorant enough only to know the queens english......shame on me!
