I was stood at work peeling some veg a little bored today, and i got thinking about:

if i could have anyone in a 80's/early 90's electro music group who would i have?

so i was just wondering who other people would have?

one rule though, you can only have one member from anyone group.

as i only thought of this a few hours ago i'm still narrowing it down to who i'd have in it.

Erm, Hooky, Barney, Steve with Martin Gore or Alan Wilder on Keyboards.

And before i get slated, they'd have to cut there hair and wear sensible clothes. But at least they can play the damn keyboards, unlike gillian, or fletch :evil4:

you can only have one member? thats not very nice. right, well hooky has to stay, so steve morris is out replaced by Paul Thompson from Roxy Music.

as for barney- Robert Smith :evil4:

Depends what you want really. If you want good muso's I'd say Tony Thompson on drums, Mick Karn on bass, Dave Gillmore on lead, Thomas Dolby on Keys and Liz Frazer on vocals.

If it's who you would pay to watch I'd say Mr Hook on bass, John McGeoch on guitar, Michael MacNeil on keys, Chris Sharrock (Icicle Works) on drums and Ian Curtis on vocals (can I get away with that one? If not, Liz Frazer again).

Change mine to drums Warren Cann (Ultravox), on bass - still Mick Karn (Japan), keys - Thomas Dolby, second keys -brian Eno and Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode) on vocals.

vocals, stiv bators from dead boys/lords of the new church.

the rest i will have to think about. maybe the bass player from king crimson, i forget his name tho. i know its electro, but i think these two would still be a damn good start.

Ok this would only have been possible in the 80s because Plank and Haas are now dead. Barney did do some production work at Connie's studio in Koln and worked with Bartos in Electronic and as a massive Kraftwerk fan he would fit right in with these German electro luminaries. Haas was the guy behind Liasons Dangereuses and was briefly in DAF with Robert Gorl but I think that counts as two different groups.

Bernard Sumner - Vocals/Keyboards Karl Bartos - Keyboards/Vocals Chrislo Haas - Electronics/Programming Robert Gorl - Drums/Programming

Production - Connie Plank/Be Music

Keyboards - Roger O'donnell Bass - Peter Hook Guitar - Johnny Marr Vocals - David Gahan

If the "only one member from a band" rule didn't exist, Alan Wilder would be on keyboards 1 and Roger on keyboards 2.
