IMDB Tag Lines

This may yield even funnier responses than my "IMDB quotes" thread, and to initiate it I'd like to start with an all-time classic. How it works is, you try and guess the movie based on the tag-line from the site, and then offer your own.

Sounds like fun, eh?

Here's one to start you off: Dalton's the best bouncer in the business. His nights are filled with fast action, hot music and beautiful women. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it.

That could also be my personal motto, but what movie is it from?

 Roadhouse:spit:

"an assault on the king's men,is an assault on the king himself....now, let this scrapper come to me,,"I just heard this line on the movie playing in our house...I have no idea what IMDB means:scratch:

Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), the best site on the internet...other than this one, of course :nervous:

Anyway, you win...but I don't have a tag line ready. I will post one in an edit :thumb:

EDIT: Bud and Doyle are here to save the world. But who's gonna save the world from Bud and Doyle?

I think that's that Pauly Shore movie Bio-dome, I haven't actually watched the whole thing, but that tag line sounds about right.

I wanted to use one from a painfully bad movie, a train wreck of a movie by Robert Altman, of all people, O.C. And Stiggs (1987 I think) , with Dennis Hopper, Martin Mull, Tina Louise, Paul Dooley, and a whole lot of non-stars, in a big screen flameout of a brilliant National Lampoon story. However, there was no tagline there, so I'll skip that one (you should still watch this movie at least once, if only for the live performance by King Sunny Ade).

Okay, here's another guilty pleasure, saw this one on FX this last week and laughed a lot. Teabagging indeed...:evil4:

"It was filmed in 6 days for 25 thousand dollars. The government didn't want you to see it. It was banned in 23 states. It has grossed over 600 million dollars. And it is the most profitable film in motion picture history."

Guess? :evil4:

Something tells me that is "8MM", but I'll be damned if I can find it in the tag line collection for that movie...I'm gonna say "Boogie Nights" and check it later, now that I thought about it long enough :drummer: (rim shot)

Anyway, one of my fave movies:

Love. Expulsion. Revolution.

Tag lines are always terminally bad. Whoever insists on still using them in this day and age should be taken out and shot. They degrade everything they touch.

Yes, but they provide great fodder for my fun and exciting game!

True, they are bad, but I'll take them (barely) over being blown away by the volume and rapid fire edits of the upcoming attractions reel in the theater.

Oh, as for my flick Trevor, it was for Pecker, by John Waters.

I should've known...Waters is the master of questionable artistic films :evil4:

I can honestly say Pink Flamingos is the most bizarre experience I've ever had in a theater...just odd :faint:

An easy one, to get the game back on track:

Never give a saga an even break!
