tendorloin (spelling?), wumpscut, & moon rock, hootie & the blow fish.

tendorloin opened for soundgarden and all i remember about their set was that the obese lead singer took off his shirt and poked himself with a fork and did belly flops. i think i might be making the last part up but i'd hope the point is sent. they suck.

The Beatles is a very clever name; they were a "Beat Group," thus, The Beatles.

The band 'Live' .... truly unoriginal boring pretentious shitty band with an asshole leader, and an incredibly stupid band name... i don't know if they were ever popular outside the USA, i hope not

i must admit that i have always thought that 'Electronic' was a pretty lame name, uninspired

and must agree about the "supergroup" Asia , everything is lame about that "band"... thename was probably thought up by the record label execs

i bet nearly EVERY english word you could think of has been used as a band name by now, you prolly couldnt get a truly original new name except for stringing together an odd combination of words

Worst name and worst band I ever saw, abysinian polevault, played in a pub in Blackpool (which I was working in, I couldn't escape!) in the late 80's, utter shite, sang bad covers of tears for fears, couldn't get the hang of triplets or the bloody melody, the singer was cross eyed, and they had an attitude like they were top of every chart going, utter wankers, thank god i was mates with the DJ and got him to play NO after each gig.

Oh, the ultimate bad name.......Air Supply

You know you're in a world of hurt when you hear the band name...

This brings up an interesting arguement: can a good band survive a bad name?

Sorry Rian, can't agree with you on that one, it's a good name for a stern-looking group of men..

Crispy Ambulance is a pretty bad one.

Can't imagine a band would be eager to have a name like Something Corporate as their moniker, but if those boys have their knee pads at the ready, well then, more power to 'em.

i agree, green. i think it's a fantastic name and fits them perfectly. perhaps rian isn't familiar with the colloquial term 'a bad seed.'

now for the best band name ever...sandy duncan's eye. the first time i heard it i almost crapped my pants with laughter, but i was in the DJ booth and had to go sit in the corner until i could compose myself.

Maybe it's just me, but naming your band Jet is incredibly lazy. It's like saying "we could invest more time in coming up with a good name, but we won't"

Might as well have a string of airplane-inspired monikers to follow:

Biplane Monoplane Messerschmitt B-15s The Fokkers Spruce Goose Led Zeppelin...erm, that one's taken?

The is a great german fun-acapella-band (is it called "acapella", too in english when you sing without instruments?)

They are called: Die U-Bahn-Kontrollöre in tiefgefrorenen Frauenkleidern (which is kind of: The Subway conductors in deep frozen women's clothes)

This can't be beaten. And the boys are crazy but great, too. They call themselves harcdore-acapella band...

I put a link in for proof:
