So what's your favorite Dukes of Hazzard episode?

Mine is the one where Boss Hogg is eating a heaping platter of fried chicken, and hatching one of his little plots, and the Dukes accidentally get in the way so Sherrif Roscoe P. Coltrane starts chasing after them, but they're in the General Lee, so he can't catch 'em, because they're skidding all OVER the road, and then the General Lee does this amazing leap in the air, while whistling Dixie, and comes down nose-first so hard that the axle breaks and the frame bends and the hubcaps go flying off and the hood pops open and the radiator springs a leak, only in the next shot, they're tearing off down the road again and the car is good as new. YEEEE-HAAAWWW!!!!

Then poor ol' Uncle Jesse is in trouble with Boss Hogg, so the Dukes gotta come to his rescue, and meanwhile cousin Daisy Duke is flouncin' around in her "Daisy Dukes" shorts and some skimpy top, and Boss Hogg is halfway through that plate of fried chicken, when some ornery no-good strangers show up in town, and now everybody, including Boss Hogg, is in up to their necks, until them good ol' boys, the Dukes, come to the rescue in the General Lee, and them no-good strangers are turned over to the law. Boss Hogg finishes his platter of fried chicken, Uncle Jesse spins some homilies, the Dukes once again feel that family love that holds themn together (not THAT kind of love, Tabbsy :nono: ),and everybody settles down and things get back to normal.

Anyway, that's my favorite episode; what's yours? :toothless:

I like the one where they show Daisy Duke shaving her beaver.

I never saw that one! Why would she shave her beaver?

I hope she kept that little critter nice and warm afterwards, and fed it plenty of wood.

I like the one where Bo and Luke ganged up on Daisy and...no, I won't go there :nonono:

Hey, why don't you read my parody of the Dukes of Hazzard? It's on down a little further, but it'll be worth your time! :thumb:

I'm sorry, but Sorrell Booke will always be "Boss Hogg" to me. I'm sick of how they tried to sex it up by casting that no-talent hack in the part. :nonono:

But Jessica Simpson does look hot in that all-white suit :p

Not hard to get to the top of the box office when there is no competition. Just another case of redneck chic (e.g., mesh trucker hats) being oh so trendy with American youth today. Bet it goes over GREAT in minority communities and non-American countries.

Especially the national battle flag of a racist slave country that EVERY redneck denies has ANYTHING to do with slavery. Oh yeah, them uppity types LOVE that.

It's hate, not heritage...I mean, heritage, not hate! :nervous:

I think it stopped being about "heritage over hate" when the first Klansman thought to bring it along to the first post-war lynching of an innocent freedman, circa 1867 or so. Let the whole thing die and get on with it, it was nice on paper but shitty in practice :nonono:

I fully expect to be banned from the South now

Blue, you surprise me. The General Lee had aluminum "turbine" style wheels, not hub caps on steel wheels. However, front suspension breakage did seem to be a common occurance. Also, it was neat to watch them use air powered tools from a hose comming out of the trunk (with no obvious compressor or power for the compressor. Who knows, maybe it was 'shine powered).
