Lost (the TV series)

I ended up watching this all night on Wednesday.Watched the 2 part pilot on C4 then the next episode on E4.

It was OK.Not blown away but its alright if youre not doing anything else on a weekday evening.Doubt if ill watch the whole series.25 bloody episodes!.And theres a season 2 after that?.

Guess it will be like Twin Peaks or something.Bringing up more questions than answers but if i cant find the time to watch it ill just do a search on the net to find all the answers

Did remind me of the old fifties sci fi film Forbidden Planet in places.Some big, unseen creature stomping around trampling trees in the distance.

After Six Feet Under (which is wrapping up in a few weeks - don't get me started, I'm getting ready for SFU withdrawal), LOST is my favourite drama on TV.

I loved the way they worked in questions we all asked while watching it like, "Why isn't the big guy losing weight while on the island?". Hilarious!

Part drama, part comedy, part suspense.

I love Lost. Have seen the first 24 episodes. New one will start on August 21 over here.

So if theres a second series i take it theyre still stuck on the island at the end of the first series?.Or is the second series a different set of passengers?

Great start- Sci-Fi has to hit the ground running nowadays if they are to avoid the axe of the US Fall...

Especially given that programmes usually get much better following the pilot...

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA is another great new Sci-Fi programme that also happens to knocks the crap out of the original- try it if you haven't already...

umm, 25 episodes is pretty average for a major network show's season's run! shows can stay on for as long as the network wants them to, so that's 25 episodes every year for 5-6 years (usually), although in the case of MASH it was 10-11 years, and the simpsons' been running for about 15 or 16.

many shows don't even go into syndication until they have at least 100 episodes under their belt.

and i'm already feeling the six feet under malaise, by the way. especially after the most recent death.:(

1st Detective: "Well, we've got six unsolved murders, ten suspicious types hanging 'round Shephard's Bush at the time, and some DNA off the last victim's body..."

2nd Detective: "Right, right...now, as I was saying this last murder happened while I was watching the cricket match in Hyde Park."

1st Detective: "Hyde Park host cricket games now?"

2nd Detective: "Oh, nothing professional, but those of us from Murder Squad decided to take on Wilkerson and the Petty Theft Division. Cheeky blokes, them. Kept saying something about my mother and a crudely-fashioned sex toy, for some reason..."

1st Detective: "Pervs...anyway, what do you make of this?"

2nd Detective: "What, cricket in Hyde Park?"

1st Detective: "No, no, the case! I think there's a pattern here...bloody hell, is it tea time?"

2nd Detective: "Quiet, man, I'm deducing the pattern as we speak...bollocks, I've got nothing."

Saw part of it once. Kinda like Survivor meets Pulp Fiction on bad meth. Never saw it again.
