The sleeve looks rather retro, however, it's not my favorite. I don't necessarily hate it, but I don't love it either. But regardless of the album's cover, I'm definitely buying the album anyways.
Oookay... Is the feather person supposed to be an angel, or just the result of an arts and crafts project for 5 year olds? Actually, that's what the whole thing looks like. Were they that low on budget that they got kindergardeners to design the sleeve for them?
Do you know what the new DM album cover reminds me of?
"I wish I could fly, right up to the sky, but I can't..."
(Apologies to anyone who isn't familiar with British novelty hits of the early 1980's)

I did post that in the other thread btw... !
For some reason, it reminds me of the (Tony) Blair Witch Project
Listened to "Precious" about three times in my car today, and have to say it's the best song they've put out since "Enjoy the Silence"
The cover is very Dave Gahan-ish(?)
But it's far better than all the NO covers of the last 4 years.
I actually kind of like its primitivism. It's interesting and unique, especially for contemporary album cover art.

sorta looks like a parody/joke, sorta like Depeche Mode has become a parody of their 80s selves... the fat 35 yr old ex-goth or fag hag chicks will eat it up

Still... Theres a place for everything. Why not chat about the covers of New Order or Joy Division, and rant on about the delights of Peter Savilles creative excellence? Zzzzz. But leave DM to the DM website. Or - OK, lets talk about the price of fuel. NO!
