...by finding I like the new Oasis single. Decent video too.

On a less auto-astonishing note, I find I rather rate the Hard Fi album and the Bloc Party one (is the cover of 'silent alarm' reminiscent of Joy Division or what? Could be the same treeline from the Atmosphere single).

I rather rate the Hard Fi album

Why do you hate that album, it's really good. Well, there are some not so good tracks like Middle Eastern Holiday, but there's Cash Mashine, Stars of CCTV and the fabolous Hard to Beat.

Sorry mate, I did read hate insted of rate.

I hope that's not the beginning of dyslexia.

Not keen. I can't believe the radios are hammering this washed up indie group and at the same time they ignore all new NO releases!

Exactly! At one time I though Oasis was okay, and that's definetly not now. NO is much better.

I think I'll have to check out the Hard Fi album; I caught the beninning of their set at Hyde Park, and it was really good.

Well, the media seem to have been obsessed with Oasis for an eternity, even for all the years they were churning out tired repeitive tripe with illiterate album titles, so the way I see it its not suprising said media are still fixated on them - and at least this time (IMO) the record being hyped is actually quite good. But obviously I still think even the current below-par incarnation of NO shows more innovation than Oasis have in their entire career.

And the more I listen to the Hard Fi album the more I like it.

(I should have given this thread a more meaningful title.)
