I bring this up because I've let my hair grow out quite a bit more than I normally do (it's just hanging over my neck. I always end up with a Ron Burgandy-looking thing on my head, I couldn't grow a ponytail even if I wanted to) and up until today I was fine with it. But briefly the idea of getting a haircut flashed through my brain, and I gotta say that if I ever get any time off I might just go ahead and do so

Then again, I could change my mind and decide to grow it down to my ass. Ingles really has laissez-faire grooming standards :thumb:

Anyway, what's your prefered hairstyle length? I like the nice "medium" phase between the first week after a haircut and the end of the month when it starts getting long...whatever that means :skeptic:

It's always long, although I just got it cut. Now it just falls down to my earlobes.

since high school, i had medium lenght hair but the past 6 years, its been consistently near or at my shoulders. after the new order week in may, i got sick of my hair looking flat and hated my big forehead so in a move i regret to this day, i shaved it all off :( right down to the skin. thank god it's growing back quickly, its like a bad crew cut right now, but im hoping to have it back to my chin by christmas but i doubt it will happen. I loved having long hair even though my friends and fiance think its better looking short, but its my personal choice and hopefully, i will never be stupid enough to shave my head bald again unless i start to go bald in which case, id just shave it all off all the time.

I don't know if this is a male-only question... But I prefer my hair long. Short hair doesn't fit me...

Me - long, short for my man

My hair is thick and grows fast. I prefer it short. I envy those with thinning hair.

I keep it short.

But a couple of years ago, I let it grow long. I had a ponytail for 3 years, then cut it short again.

Short, and I've had it dyed most of the time since 1998, although not at Oxegen, when there were other NOOL'ers there...

so we´re 2 on the same situation but for different reasons. i had to keep a promise and that´s why i just shaved it all off. 6 days later i already have all hairs growing healthy so that´s good news. i thought they´d never grow again! but as much as i love to have my hair long and my beard i have to admit i don´t regret shaving it because it doesn´t look that bad on me.

of course, if i could go back to the 10centimeters-below-my-shoulders-long hair i had just a week ago i´d say "hell, yes!" but it´s quite alright and i´m still a happy fella ;)

Wanna trade?

I keep it short these days.

Used to be long, but when I had my Alfa, the wind was whipping it into knots every time I drove, so I cut it off. Short's much easier to maintain.

Preference: My preference would be to grow it when I want it long, and cut it when I want it short, but there's nothing more ridiculous than long, thinning hair.

i can't believe someone else feels the same way - i agree.

I usually keep my hair at about medium length because it's thick and is a pain if it gets very long. Also, I don't like how I look with short hair.

mine has been short, long, and everything in between. it depends on my mood and different people have different opinions about my hair. my hair is short now, i cut it this summer. it's cooler but i miss putting it back in a ponytail.

right now i like it shorter.

am i indecisive? i don't know.

Used to have long hair as a kid (well, it was the 70's). But once teen hormones kicked in it developed an annoying tendency to curl round and start growing back up to the top of my head once it got at all long, where it would pile up higher and higher. So now its kept short.

Short - mine grows out instead of down - so short is the only way to keep it reasonable

Although on my profile pic I have it short (the pic was taken on my wife's birthday, I had it cut that very same day), I usually have it medium-sized, kinda like Hooky has nowadays (minus the bleaching, of course...:D )
