The only day I drove to work was Tuesday. The rest of the week I rode my bicycle. I even rode my bike to the store several times. I used the bike for 39 miles and perhaps saved 2.5 gallons of gas or about $7.75 USD. Almost enough cash for a 6 of Guiness.

Didn't drive at all this week. Nor any previous week, ever, in the last 30+ years. Not sure how much petrol saving that works out at. On a side-note, since I moved to a place on an extraordinarily steep hill I seem to have lost 20lbs in the last year without even trying! Pretty much at my correct weight - possibly for the first time since Republic was released! I dread to think what size I'd be if I drove a car. Most of my neighbours seem to have lost the use of their legs, other than to waddle into the car park.

I didn't save a bit this week...I made the 16 mile round trip to work all 5 times this week...

but I did manage to leave the Air Conditioning off a couple of those trips!

I need a car for my work. So I've saved nothing.

i've just driven from home to work and back (2-3 miles or so), except for a 7-8 mile trip to meet some friends for dinner on wednesday. i have less than 1/4 tank left but i'm not refilling yet.

i'd gladly walk to work except for the extreme heat and humidity and all of the schoolwork/posters/books i have to carry with me.

That's how much petrol I saved, too. For the last 3 years, only 10% of what you've saved. Walking everywhere has kept my waist reasonably trim as well. No planned exercise program, no dieting, just walking 20 minutes each way every day.

My new car is much more fuel efficent than my old one, but I've also driven more as its such a nice drive. So, Ive actually used more. Sorry.
