I've bought The Man Machine, and was wondering where to go from this album. Which is amazing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Computer World is my favourite album from them.

I was going to say Computer World as well. However, I recently bought the live album 'Minimum-Maximum' which is excellent. Better even than Demon Days by Gorillaz.

I only downloaded this album last weekend (legally! ). Have to say it's first class. I'd only ever heard the version of "Computer Love" on "The Mix" before now, which I love. The original is head & shoulders above even that.

I remember reading "Man, Machine And Music" the biography on KW by Pascal Bussy where Ralph Hutter had a crash on his bike and the first thing he was reported to have said when he regained consciousness was "where's my bicycle?"

Back to the main topic- Computerworld is good, so's The Mix. Minimum:Maximum's worth getting as well-reminds me of the time I saw them live in Sydney in 2003.

Minimum-Maximum is the best place to start. Their most important work in nearly 1/4 century. Some of their best tunes, well re-imagined.

I notice no-one is recommending Electric Cafe!

Trans Europe Express is a good one, as well as the title track you get Showroom Dummies and the majesty of Europe Endless.

Radioactivity is good if you like random bleeping noises...

I own that on Vinyl. It's good, but it is no classic. There's one song that could be from Barney, because the refrain is: "I am not your sex object" (OK Barney would have left out the "not" )

Go see them live. I was pretty close to collapse on Saturday down in the electric picnic. I can get worked up for newOrder live, but Kraftwerk are special. Pure restrained power. The new Version of RADIOACTIVITY into the updated COMPUTERWORLD tracks are just amazing. The Original TOUR DE FRANCE is on MINIMUM MAXIMUM too.

Im reading Pascal Busseys book at the moment. Its so so. Not a patch on Wolfgangs wanking stories, but what can you do?

And i'll bet he'll still be moaning about it come saturday!

Indeed I did. I left the tent to go to Doves on my lonesome (they aren’t trendy, and not popular with those my age) – and saw him down the front. He was fairly drunk – and I doubt if he remembered me. The other 2 less so. After Doves, I headed back to the tent and my mates as quickly as possible to see the last 4 tunes that Royksopp played – and didn’t see ATR at Kraftwerk during the gig. I had to have a sit down in the tent after the gig, and as the place cleared, I saw Alex talking to someone, so I said goodbye to him. He is quite the charmer when he wants. After that we went to get water and juice, so I didn’t see him. He said he had some trouble getting back to the hotel from the Site – or at least the other lad (John) did. Is his 186 fall gigs claim true? Pretty impressive anyhow.

Id say to anyone: go see them live if you can. There is a moment about 4 minutes into RADIOACTIVITY that, for me is just the most spellbinding (check it out on Minimum-Maximum).

Yes, he's seen them in the bizarrest of places. Even followed them on tour to Greece one summer!

I dont know how he could spend that much time in the company of big Mark - the grumpiest man in music.

I told him to say Hi anyhow. If he remembers, there were some very attractive girls in the front row all around him. I doubt he does - and if he cant remember that, then he isnt likely to remember someone like me rabbiting on with stupid questions. John had some pretty impressive NewOrder Numbers too.
