The Oscar Wilde reference was an end in itself and one generally can't outpun the original punster. There simply isn't enough quoting of him in general on these boards. I'm sure Barney and Hooky are big fans.

As for the contentious comment, well Pats I am fairly aware that LE is in Idaho. He's probably unearthing interesting things right now in the Discovery Centre.

I daresay they weren't referred to as bureaucrats as such, in times of early New World cartography. But seeing as I'm addressing contemporary readers, I took the liberty of extending some historical license to relate my point.

I hesitate to ask what title you were proposing to substitute. I assume you were inspired by my title change that seemed to have unsettled Jonathan.

My office has a coffee maker that uses individually packaged grounds that each produces one small cup of coffee. I doubt that the brand encompasses both D.C. and Perth. Not Starbucks.

Well I like the idea of this thread as a place where you can drop by and always find Patrick here to chat candidly to. Topics flow into others like tributaries of the Nile, yet you can always be assured Patrick will have a one-liner in response.
