I'm making a mix for a friend to take on his travels- I'm loosely theming it on goodbye- being apart etc. However the problem is we've got extremely similar music collections(except for NO, the big idiot i'm glad he's going!) obviously there's no point putting on stuff he already has. So any suggestions? Slightly off kilter stuff would be ideal. thanks guys x

Other Side of the World - KT Tunstall
Yesterdays - GNR
Dry Your Eyes - The Streets
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Come Sail Away - Styx :p
Actually, I'd go with "There is A Light That Never Goes Out" by the Smiths, "Letter to Elise" from Fat Bob and the Ever-Changing Cure, and "Two of Us" by the Beatles ![]()
Er, "Goodbye" by The Sundays.
"Last Goodbye", Jeff Buckley.
"Fuck Off" - Mindless Drug Hoover.
That one by The Smiths whose closing refrain is "and I'll probably never see you again", even though the title temporarily escapes me...
If you actually like the person and are genuinely gonna miss them, I suppose the Walker Bros. "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" is a pretty magnificent.
