Hope this one stays small, relief services couldn't handle anything big right now.
And my mother is trying to get me to move to Florida 
We're really struggling to acomodate people here. People called like crazy these days to reserve 4-5 nights with all their families and dogs etc.
Can you imagine if the hurricane will pass it other way? All these people cancel their reservations at once. Damn, I forgot to run to the gas station to get as much gas as possible. :(
wow. They moved from K-name hurricanes to R. It must be a busy tropical storm season.
Oddly enough, here in this city we usually get hit hard by thehurricanes remnants. Hasnt really happen this yr.
they're evacuating low-lying parts of houston; galveston's being evacuated, as well. we know what happens when hurricanes hit galveston....

(Interestingly enough, Karl Rove greatly admires and models himself after Mark Hannah, McKinley's aide. The Bush agenda is to rollback to the McKinley era, and Rove sees Bush as McKinley and himself as Hannah. One can only wish it were so.)

It wouldn't turn out the same. Then we got Roosevelt; now we'd get Cheney.
Anyway, let's hope that Galveston won't be wiped out a second time, even if they did rebuild in the exact same spot, apparently. Never overestimate human intelligence, I suppose.

hmmm... maybe this IS all the Bush admin's plan... drive the price of gas to 4 dollars a gallon so the economy will crash and he can justify attacking any country and forcing censorship and controls all thru society... sort of like how the Emperor in Star Wars got the Republic to justify war and give up democratic power... maybe Karl Rove or Cheany are the real Emperor-to-be, and Bush is our Jar Jar Binks...

Bush does seem awfully soft on the price of oil and gas... doesnt even pretend to bullshit about he cares about the little people on that one... does anybody know what the doubling of transportion fuel and heating fuel will do to the US economy? I don't claim to know, but there is reason to be frightened, along with the doubling of crude oil prices in a couple of years time, oil is a major component in all plastics, synthetics of all types in clothing and building materials, oil is a major factor in large scale agriculture, as well as the obvious transportation costs... plus factor in huge debt the US gov't has built up, and pensions and medicare being in serious problems... what will the future be like?

Or better: purchases of a few Mexican and Canadian territories? No more border illegal immigrants
