By Michael Winterbottom (who directed 24 Hour Party People). Finally bought the DVD (no point waiting until it comes on telly). Quite liked it. Anyone else seen it?

Porn with a good soundtrack? Yes, I'm still looking forward to seeing it.

how strange, I finally got round to watching it today, and thought 'I must post on NOOL' and here biginoil has beat me to it. Great minds, eh? I liked it but I thought the two leads kind of let it down. While Kieren O' Brian is a good actor he wasn't attractive enough, and whereas Margot Stiley is quite pretty in a flamingo way, she is a terrible actress, and really annoying. Normally I'm not to bothered about how attractive actors are but aside from the fact they were naked all the time, the only plot is that they go out with each other, so you've got to have a reason to care. However, it was beautifully shot, paced and edited. The music scenes were really fantastic. The sex didn't bother me either way, it got a little tedious but it was handled sensitively. I'm interested to know how it went down in America (what? I'm allowed one terrible pun aren't I?) completely different to 24hpp in just about every respect. except for the crowd scenes maybe.

I agree about that Margot woman. Mid-Atlantic accent started to grate after a bit. Like about ten seconds. I think they captured the relationship very well, and that was the point. You could see the bloke starting to get a bit pissed off with the girl, but he made an effort to see it through. She lost interest in him, but kept on going as she knew she was leaving soon anyway.

Could've sworn that Liam from the Prodigy and 3-D from Massive Attack did the soundtrack for a couple of porno flicks a few years back.
