I reckon any supermarket with no nearby competitor simply stops trying. And only the wealthier areas seem to be able to support more than one supermarket.
Same over here. The poorer downtown areas in whatever city always seem to have one REALLY shite grocery store, and nothing else. Higher prices, shite produce, no service, and filthy conditions. Cunts.
Over the last 3 or so years Aldi has begaun to invade Australia. BTW top quality at great prices. Surprise, surprise, our big duopply supermakets can suddenly lower their prices, especially when they have an Aldi in near vicinity. So here's 3 cheers for competition.

Did you buy that at Tesco?
There aren't any Tesco's in my area. In Boston, there's Shaw's and in Philly there's Acme. Neither sell Depeche Mode posters, although the Acme in my neighborhood has Hawaiian shirts during the summer and t-shirts with the neighborhood's name on them, which is kind of odd, since most people outside of the Philly area don't know what Roxborough is - not that you should know, anyway.

Yep!
Just pointing out the traditional Manc-land / NW Ingerland superstores; living in Londoninium means Tesco +++

mmmmmmm---has ilkeston got a train station and is the tesco open 24 hours??? ![]()
I tend to shop at Sainsbury's on the virtue of it being the nearest. There's also a Tesco further down the road but I need to time my visits carefully, unless I want to share the bus with a thousand screaming teenagers from a nearby school.
I'd rather shop Tesco's, maybe if I switch all my shopping to there I can save enough for a car!
Bansheeman, nearest train station Ilkeston is langley Mill, about 5 miles away. Tesco is 24 hours except for Sunday's when it closes at 4pm.

Fair enough:D
Took your advice today - went to the Sainsburys in The Quays in Newry instead (hope thats ok with you
)
Got Singles there for £9.79 - which felt even better after seeing it in the HMV (also) in the Quays, for £13.99!!!
As far as the fit girls goes . . . they all seem to be decent in the supermarkets 'up north' - better than my local tescos anyway ![]()

Actually do you have any good record shops in Philly, as I have to go there next year some time for family reasons.

Shit, we have those stinky shops too, funny they're called "All for 69", lol, for those not Serbian they mean 69 dinars which used to be equal to 1 euro not so long ago.
