Aaagghh Haaaaaa

Has to be Partridge, gotta admit didnae like the first series too much (the chat show) although there were some classic moments on that. Opening the morning shift on Radio Norwich was a touch of genius. The farmers episode still has me in tears.

This is a bit like being asked to choose between your left arm, or your right leg, but another vote for Alan.

Series was just a bit more diverse than the Office could ever hope to be. And hopefully it's got more legs in it yet (wasn't there a film mooted?).

That's not taking anything away from the Office though, obviously.

I loved the office, but had to vote for Alan Partridge:

1)Until I saw Alan Partridge (aged 14) I had never laughed at anything on telly so hard that my face hurt for a full hour afterwards. 2)It’s SHOCKINGLY close to the bone, and MUST be based on Irish chat show host Pat Kenny. Coogan also says he bought all the cloths in a shop in the west of Ireland that I’ve been in. 3)The first season of “I’m Alan Partridge” in the Travel-lodge is the funniest thing – ever. 4)Chocolate Oranges. The smallest references with a friend who shares a love of all things Alan can result in the most unexpected, and fantastic giggle fits. A lecturer with a bit of chocolate moose on the side of his mouth after lunch – or a partridge amongst the pigeons. Special. 5)Michael.

Michael talking in his Geordie accent.Alan cuts in with "sorry ,that was just a noise!"

and later on "no,you`ve gone again"

Aw.. it just doesn`t come over written down.

"Knowing me, knowing you" Is still the best comedy that has been on radio. If you havn't heard that, you are missing out on the best of Alan Partridge.

It would have to be Alan Partridge although the first sitcom series not the second, which was a bit crap. Like the Office but it wasn't as good as some people say, especially the critics.
