I bumped into Ian Brown in our local indian take away a few months in Lymm. I did a double take but he didnt seem to recognise me. (I also met Rennie a few years ago in Chorlton - introduced through a mutual friend) If I had my wits about me I would have told him that all his solo material sucks big time. As such I cannot reccomend any of his solos material

FEAR sounded as good as any Stone Roses songs live.
Some of his stuff does suck monkey balls though.
Whats RENI doing nowdays? - and whats he like?
i only have one album so i'll say--fear f.e.a.r and track 1-which is brill and called emm fear
Stone Roses reunion: Honestly? Bad idea. as much as i would LOVE to go see a gig and have them blast out all the classics, they'd probably end up falling out, sounding crap and giving half arsed performances.
Oh wait... HANG ON...

What do you reckon of 'All Ablaze' Liam?
I can't make up my mind whether it's one of his best tunes or album track at best. Sometimes I swear it sounds like bits of it are out of tune, like the 303s and the guitar/vocals?
A shame he didn't record another single for The Greatest but we'll probably have another new album before long the way he's been talking about his new (solo) band.
I think its absolutely brilliant. In many ways its very similar to what he's done in the best, but at the same time its very different. Its a great tune, and some of its best lyrics. I aint heard it live yet which will probably be the acid test.

John and Ian have too much bad blood between them just now. Can't see it happening.I truely adore the Roses and would jump at the chance to see them if they reformed, but they were "of the time"for a whole generation my age,and sometimes the brightest burning stars burnout fastest.I would'nt wanna see them faking it, to cash in if they actually detest one another. But if they really meant it, it would be marvellous![]()

Nah,the Stone Roses should stay legends. Happy Mondays made a comeback-and seem less credible for it.

Surely they were never credible?
