On the other hand, Johnny Damon would be a perfect fit for the Yankees......c'mon JD! You know it makes perfect sense..
Blasphemy!
They'd make him cut his "Jesus as a Surfer" look and go for the corporate Republican business model. He'd be unrecognizable!
I have some predictions about the Yanks:
1.) Torre's gone, followed by Cashman, Matsui if they can get rid of him. Bernie Williams will retire. Jason Giambi will be crushed to death by his own weights during the off-season. A-Rod will star as the new "Hamburger Helper" in commercials. Jeter will still be the anchor of the team.
2.) Lou Pinella is the obvious favorite for taking over (seeing as Billy Martin's been dead for over a decade)
3.) Randy Johnson will be a dead weight on the pitching staff next season
4.) Just like in '64, the Yanks are headed for a decade-long decline
I reserve the right to be wrong about any and all of these, of course :p
