Pink Floyd to release new Dvd which has a full performance from the Dark Side Of The Moon album, and there is also The Division Bell Tour from Earl's Court in 1994.. The DVD called Pulse will be out on December 5

You beat me to that being an old release (though I don't share your enthusiasm for it)

I'd rather see the full Live8 performance (most likely a DVD release of the whole thing will be available before the end of the year)

More like a "they should've quit around 1980" man, because all their classic albums were pre-1980 and even "The Wall" seems like an anomaly (I remember sitting through the bulk of that on a car trip and thinking "damn, this is fucking depressing!").

I think in the "clash of egos" between Waters and Gilmour, I have to give the edge to Waters because he managed to take the baton up from Syd. Gilmour seems like an affable and more likable human being, but Waters was the heart of the band. That's why their reunion at Live8 was worth catching; you'd have never thought such divergently different personalities would ever share the stage again, after all the shit they went through.

It's one of those classic "do you buy a legendary artist's new album, even if you know it will not measure up to the previous masterpieces?" I haven't listened to Pulse, but I would imagine it's probably not as good as the older shows. Of course, I reserve the right to be proven wrong at any time :p

A pity, because it's a realy good live album. Gilmour handles all vocals, and the sounds are recreated faithfully.
