In order to derail the supermarket-themed trend that seems to be sweeping the board :skeptic: , I thought I'd volunteer this thread.

Now, these are not songs that automatically suck, mind you. That rules out the usual suspects. I'm thinking of the songs that you used to like, once upon a time. But due either to overplay at supermarkets  or other stores, or the adoptation of that tune by a major supermarket chain :banghead: , the song just grates on your nerves.

Remember, this CANNOT be a song that technically "sucks". It HAS to be one that you could see the merit of, before you heard it for the 7,999th time at Burger King :p

My nominee: "Hello, It's Me", by Todd Rundgren :nono:

That's a bit harsh, make that about 50-60%.

I would also add Kaiser Chiefs 'I Predict A Riot.'

Anything by Take That. Or Kylie. But, especially Club Tropicana by Wham. (God, I used to love that........) I am still heard to hum it......

That "Don't you wish your boyfriend was hot like me" song. There is no merit to it, but it gets played waaaaay too often over here.
