Ive been on a horror kick lately. I watch seed of chucky, amityville horror, secret window, and serial mom. The last one i guess is more of a black comedy. Oh yeah, and Freddy vs Jason.
Any suggestions to what i should get next?

I agree with nearly all of Pope's suggestions.
First of all, the greatest horror movie of all-time - in my opinion - is Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA. It not only is the best and most beautiful horror flick ever made, but also one of the best and most beautiful movies of all-time. It's absolutely mind-blowing. Definitely rent that one. Of course, I obviously have a pretty strong personal opinion that not everyone will share with me. :D

THE HILLS HAVE EYES. How could I forget? Great movie. Although I think I remember reading a few weeks back that someone dislikes it? I personally dig it quite a bit.
I love those old Vincent Price films such as the Raven and tales of Terror and the Oblong Box.

It a lifetime job trying to collect horror movies here in germany. Mostly they are cut. But I got connections to Austria (pen pal), they have the uncut versions there. And there are some Internet-Shops who sell those after controlling your passport...

first friday the 13th was ok, but not scary. the rest just went on and on.

Phenomena is a weird film, jennifer Connolly a few years before she got Totally HOT!!!(Career opportunities), though most of Argento's are, i like Infrerno and i agree with you about Suspiria, have you seen the Church? it co-stars a young Asia Argento and is pretty good, i believe it was Originally Called Demons 3

Clive Barker is kind of the David Lynch of Horror. 
But I like his "Lord of Illusions".
Well now I notice that no one suggested Peter Jackson's masterpiece "Braindead". That's the "german" title. I think it's called "Dead Alive"... (Oh sorry, the Pope had it...) But this movie is a must. And if you survived that, then try "Bad Taste" (Jackson's debut).

i forgot that dead alive was Originally called Braindead,
Bad Taste is one of the craziest movies ever, nice cameo by the beatles ,lol
and Mr. Peter Jackson actually acts in it and it looks like he did his own Stunts, or maybe he just fell down that huge cliff by accident?

I have all of the Argentos from 1975-1987, but my faves are Tenebre, Suspiria, and Opera (except for that terrible metal music that spoils a few scenes). Didn't care much for Phenomena, even though Ms. Connelly is in it....
Maybe a bit too young at that point. The Three Animals trilogy is good stuff, nice giallos, as is Deep Red. Inferno is an acquired taste, but has its moments. Sleepless was a fairly good return to form, but not nearly as good as Opera. The Stendhal Syndrome was quite good, and Trauma wasn't too bad (Her Holiness, Asia, is in both, so I was there in spades...too bad about Phantom of the Opera though). Two Evil Eyes was also okay. The Card Player looks like crap, but Do You Like Hitchcock? is supposed to be an improvement.

Oh yes Mr. Jackson plays two roles in "Bad Taste" and he did the special effects (besides writing and directing).
He has a cameo in "Braindead"/"Dead alive", too...
I wish he would still do this crazy horror films... I love his "The Frighteners"... Nobody seen that? Shame...

The Shining - I was thinking about it last night because "Biography" was profiling Stephen King and how he thought Kubrick "missed" the mina thrust of the story (dad's alcoholism, not supernatural crap). But Kubrick was more nihlistic than the original book was (the "happy ending" of the 1997 miniseries is fucking hilarious, btw. Only reason to watch it). You see Danny and his mom take off in the snowmobile, but do they make it off the mountain? 
The Thing - Man, the snow is terrifying! (see "Artic Whatever" thread) :p
Halloween - Up there with "Shining" for lowest body count for a typical "horror flick", but very welldone.
The Blair Witch Project - Really not that terrifying in retrospect, but it's more clever than the shitload of "teens in danger" horror flicks that have followed in its and "Scream"'s wake. Then again, it's a terrible movie anyway...so just forget I mentioned that.
The Dead Zone - Not really a "horror movie", but the best King adaptation I've seen (and thanks to cable, I've seen a lot)
Blair Witch has it moments, like when they wake up and exit their tent to see rocks rearranged. But the best part is the end when they are in that house.
The Dead Zone is cool. Gotta love Walken, LUV.
The first Nightmare on Elm Street is good. Wait til very late. Watch it in a basement preferably with pipes above your head. Be sure it's really dark in there.
