It’s always raining, always. And even when its not, you think it will, due to the overwhelming greyness that engulfs everything and everyone.

Travel a few miles out in any direction and you’ll find plenty of friendly, cheery Lancastrian lovelies, but in the centre its all Mancs and their misery.

The “famous” Manchester nightlife is all right if you’re in a group, but try and chat to anyone else and you’ll find they are too busy taking themselves seriously.

There is nothing dazzling, nor original about Manchester, even their most famous musicians have to nick their songs from the Beatles.

The trams are a good idea though…

Manchester. sounds just like my old home town of Bremen in northern Germany. Its always raining even in summer. when it snows the best you can hope for is for 3 days of snow cover. in winter you practicly don't see the sun for 6 months. all very depressing. it has a nice old town center though and trams.

the last football match England v Poland (2:1)was in Manchester, I saw something interesting: there was "English fans only" on the windows of some restaurantes, pubs and clubs. Erm, is that typical?
