that's horrible.
Does that mean this is going to be your new hobby?![]()
well I suppose it beats his old one of depositing dead cats in the night safe of his local branch of NatWest.
Having only recently had the asda experience I have to say they deserve what they get....
the tannoy is unbelievable..
"all kappa's herd your slaves to the checkouts, they have been resting for 19 seconds, Rous, Rous Schnell, suckers waiting"
And they are SO stupid, they aint worked out that "bonfire night" means a whole differnt thing at a whole different time of year over here LOL.... "get all the essentials in for bonfire night now" and I'm thinking "there's like months yet, and where can I keep 68 cases of Harp, 145L of Vladivar, 500 milk bottles,50 Galons of 2 star, and a hundredweight of nails til july" [1] And they have a "greeter", WTF? what is that, a care in the community thing, new deal for the terminally unemployable? This far I've survived direct contact by fixing him with a stare that says "if you so much as smile at me fucko, I'll have you done for assault".
And they sold pumpkin stuff all over the show for halloween, I dunno about the rest of you but round about here, we're turnip folks come that time of year. Thinking this is Eng-er-land is one thing, but getting it confused with the USA is just retarded, I mean surely the fact that the local shopfitters put the checkouts closer than 4 ft apart should have been a clue.
I'm starting to react badly to this sort of thing, it's like Tourettes, i keep saying out loud what's going on in my head when i'm in there, INCLUDING my poor concentration camp gaurd impressions brought on by the tannoy. I mean when I were a lad, the only announcements made in store were "Jackie your ma's on line 2" and "would all customers please leave the building in a slow and orderly fashion on account of their being a fucking huge bomb out the back" ( the latter usually followed by the sound of a mic thrown away so fast the key hadn't sprung back before it hit the console). A greeter was a shopkeeper who said hello and asked your granny how her veins were keeping.
I don't understand how ASDA made this error in their brains, Tesco worked it out, their stores are not alien. Safeway worked it out, then again, they'd just been grabbed by morrison's so they probably understood just fine (since morrisons is/was a staple "up north" where folkd also hold bullshit in distain).
Oddly enough, the arrival of asda has made me start shopping in real shops more. Not easy on t' sick but I definitely like the idea of meat from a butcher and bread from a baker. Fish (unless smoked) comes from the sea on the end of my line or it don;t get eaten anyway.
Ah piss I've gone off on one again.
where was I? Yeah Fuck em!
EDIT: {1] I'm kidding, my supplies for bonfire night are, whatever it takes so i don;t have to go outside for 3 days til they've all gone away.

if you think about it monty , 50p let off per week = 52 weeks = 26 quid a year profit. might go check out after a year with a 26 quid microwave that i dont have money for and be let off like everyone else ![]()
