Holy fuck!! Has it become trendy to just fuck off the site or what?? Cause I don’t get it honestly peeps. There will always be Brits who are only fond of them Brits, then again there will always be Americans who constantly bore the rest of this shitty world with their politics (as if anyone cares!!). Tell you what, there are more important things to worry about like: how to travel to NO gigs without a document? (Mind you, Apollo gig tomorrow night so I probably hate every Brit now more than ever, ha! Being netcast – WTF??? Like it’s the same thing, fuckers!) There you go, I could now bore you to tears with the politics of my own country but that is not the point … I’d probably end up accused of being a terrorist anyway. It is the intention of this community to connect people and we all are NO freaky fans for fucks sake (therefore we’re cool as fuck) so don’t ruin the spirit, alright? To me, each and every one of you, those who I’ve had an opportunity to meet and those who I might never get to see in my life, well all are just the same. I couldn’t possibly categorize any of you as my cyber friend cause this community is much more than that and you all know it otherwise none of you wouldn’t bother spending so much time online cause time is money, lol. On the other hand, don’t take it too personally (anything that has been said on this boards) cause it would be fuckin hard to deal with it especially when there’s no eye to eye contact. It sucks, trust me I know. Nah I’m not kidding and am not expecting anyone to just kiss and make up. Stay cool, we need more talk about sex, music, footie <---there I said it, grrr. Besides, Christy, if you’re reading this I really need you as a second mod on our Slavic forum cause I know shit about Russian and Checz <--- shit, I probably cannot even spell it right. Sorry about this posts, it’s a lazy Sunday afternoon and I should be doing some homework really but can’t be arsed to.
A message to AgentWood (very diplomatic)

I appear to have missed something.
Did AW leave in controversial circumstances or is she just taking a break?
:\pimp3:
Define that taking a break part. It's not like this site is anyone's job or something. Sorry I don't think it's safe for me to comment much further. I'm scared. ![]()

You rang? ![]()
Well, whatever it is I hope it's resolved soon. Christy is one of the reasons I keep hanging out here (the other being my need to defeat Apollo Creed, then have him become my friend and train me in a re-match with Mr. T....
)

I do often find politics boring myself , also. The problem is , like it or not, politics affect each and everyone of us. So to say you're not interested is like saying you're not interested in how you are treated by the government of your respective country. But i see Maya's point.Maybe there should be political forum?.Or is that what the State Of The Nation forum is for?.Don't know because i never really go in there.
Brilliant, Johnny. State of the nation is a forum for polls of all kind (as if we don't have enough of them on both sane and the insane side already, yeah?) although its name doesn't really suggest so. Defo should become a political forum instead. But who am I to give an advice, eh?
But then if every time there is a lot of posts about subjects we're not interested in you can't create another forum every single time.We would end up with a hundred different forums![]()
So maybe the only thing to do is ignore the subject![]()

Very true but that State of the nation forum has remained a bit useless anyway. However, that was not my point. Noticed there's been some sort of separation amongst fans recently and there was that post of a certain nooler which almost brought a tear to my eye and it wasn't even directed at me.
Or are we all the goddam sensitive bitches? ![]()

Yeah i know that wasn't your point, the too much politics thing.Your point was the falling out amongst ourselves. But i just picked up on the politics on here thing and wanted to give my opinion on that.
Cheered up, Mike! :)
Johnny, I'll stop being Mother Teresa of nool
unless somebody tries to really hit a nerve!

Well it's almost become Nic's job!
Taking a break from NOOL: is that hard to believe? Sometimes 'real world' issues take precedent, or perhaps you just can't be arsed reading about 'New Order's worst remix' or 'What's on special at Tesco' for the billionth time?
All I was wondering was whether I missed an incident on these forums that forced AW into exile. If someone's being unfair, we should know. If it was a private matter, then so it shall remain.
:\pimp3:
Well, you start a political thread and it's always going to end in tears.
Looks like the protagonists have patched things over.
What that thread needed was a Huntsman to drop by and start rabbiting on about salted crisps.
:\pimp3:
Well, I'm sorry, I don't have the patience to read a thread about Communist dictators so I guess I'll have to remain in the dark.
Nothing wrong with a political debate- I don't think we should avoid any topics!
If a topic isn't popular then people won't reply so that part of the forum dies a natural death.
I find NOOLer's politics and breadth / depth of opinion very interesting so it would be sad to see it killed off...
Maybe the moderators should take more of a hands on approach via personal emails when things get a bit out of hand...?
The politics weren't the problem. It was the personal insults that began over a comment that wasn't even political.

its all in the favourite communist dictators thread, boatrace
The political conversation was going fine-- maybe a bit contentious, but fine. Then somebody said something about people here having "general political knowledge." Liam said he has more than general political knowledge (2 degrees in politcal science). Conor disputed the significance of a degree in the subject, and AgentWood made a funny reply about degrees being unimportant, and from that point everything just went to hell. It's all there in the thread.
I hereby promise to abstain from commenting on politcs for a while. I said it before it does bore some people titless. Also I don't believe that I've ever really abused anybody on these boards, or if anybody has any other problems with what I posted. Then please take it up with me. (my e-mail is in my profile) In addition I'm really reall very sorry about the outcome of all this. This will really be the final time I'll comment on this.
Well I have'nt read it...but from your description it appears that possibly there may be a screaming bunch of fringe lunatic fiercly politically aware, passionate melodramatic overly-sensitive dip-stick gobshitery involved.Tho there is probably more to it than that.I should read through it.Is it a good read? ![]()

Well, not really, but I do spend way too much time on here ![]()
And it's slow at work, allowing me to be here in work hours, otherwise ![]()
