Personally I'd like Keano to go to Sunderland or Arsenal would be a laugh as well. But I reckon he'll go to Birmingham, Villa or Celtic.

Keano - A Tribute
I don't know what to say. The legend Roy Keano has left Manchester.
The middleman has finally had enough of the dictatorial ways of Sir Fergie, ruling Manchester like a tin-top republic, and has decided to leave the Nike Trafford Ballpark.
Keano started his career with the Nottingham Arboretums, before being traded to Manchester in 1993, the year after the soccer went professional and the EPL was born.
During his time at the franchise, Keano won seven EPL pennants, the four FA Super Bowls and the Euro Series, although Sir Fergie cut him from the starting roster for the Euro Series final due to his poor form and bad temper.
Keano has been one of the best middlemen in the EPL, but he somehow failed to get a call into the Britain international team. The call finally came in 2002 for the World Cup, but he walked out on the team after arguing with the head coach over who would win in an arm wrestle between Superman and The Fonz. He was never asked to play for Britain again and he missed the World Cup in 2003 and 2004.
Recently, he was taken to court after being accused of beating a 16-year-old kid with a bike chain, but it the case was thrown out when Keano insisted he wouldn't need the bike chain.
The middleman was back in form this series, but his time at Manchester was brought to a halt when his metatarsal split in two against the Liverpool Reds. He was expected back in January, but his time at Manchester has been brought to an end after the infamous interview with MUTV.
In it, he was slated Darren Fletcher, Liam Miller, Jono Shea and Keiran Richardson, saying none of them are good enough to kick for Manchester. Sir Fergie was furious, not because he didn't agree with him, but because Keano had come up with better insults than he could.
He is now expected to join the Glasgow-Ireland Greens, who he supported as a boy, and finish his career playing exhibition games against comedy clubs like "Hibernian" and "the Partick Thistles". They are a bit like the Harlem Globetrotters - they mess about, but always end up winning in the end.

A shorterm contract with Barcelona or Real Madrid would make sense,for both clubs as he would be the best holding midfielder in their squads..I'd like to see him at Celtic,thats if he rejects Boro, because he'd improve them,and I've a fondness for the Hoops....

If its Seth johnson, i totally agree, he was shit when he played for Derby before and he's shit now, still Leeds were dumb enough to cough out £7m for him.

To be honest, Arsenal would be a better short term thing for him. It would currently wind up Man Utd which would make us all happy. I can't see him going to Boro but u never know. The one thing I can say that he won't be coming to Norwich. Hang about, we need a decent manager.
A legend of a player indeed, I can't see him playing for another premiership team to be honest, but since it seems he's left under bad circumstances then maybe. The celtic fans I work with don't want him, and the rangers fans think he'll be their manager !?!
Keano will be sorely missed. A true terrace legend, which is becoming a rare thing with todays overpaid prima-donnas.

I wasn't all that surprised when I heard the news, perhaps a bit by the timing. I thought he might pack up & go in January, or definitely in May. The biggest worry now is that there's no-one to dish out the bollockings needed when players fall into comfort zones. Thankfully there's not too many of those players at the club. Ahem.
We were lucky when Robbo left that Keano was there to fill the role perfectly. Thanks to the club not doing the bleedin' obvious over the past few years (finding/grooming Keane's successor) we're fucked this time round.
There's not many footballers around today who think & feel the same as the fans. Even less that are prepared to say what they think or feel. Thanks for 12 great years Keano.

Anyway, I don't remember being 4-0 down to the Hatters. Mind you, I was drinking myself into oblivion watching Sky Sports News at the time. But if you take our 2 goals from the 2nd half and the 2 goals from Saturday, it's technically 4-0 to us now. Yeah, that might work.

Looks like Celtic aren't sure if they want him, and the English clubs who do can't afford his wages. Wouldn't be surprised if he just calls it a day. Fantastic player though. That 'tackle' on Haaland was priceless!

I'd love to see him come to Celtic just to see the reaction at Ibrox. And you can be sure the current regime at Celtic Park would not have overpaid. Don't see him giving Celtic the discount it would take though. :D
