Oh, I do love Belle and Sebastian so, I might just have to make love to myself thinking about them right now.

Seriously though, who's heard much of them? They're a bit like the magic numbers, except good!

And if you HAVEN'T heard of them, I personally recommend getting Step Into My Office Baby and Lazy Line Painter Jane (which is on that John Peel tribute album thing).

Saw them back in Manchester Town Hall with Arab Strap in 97', not bad, got better over the years. I would have liked to go to the recent London gig for 'If your Feeling Sinister'...

I refuse point blank to ever listen to a song by them, sounds too 'Brideshead Revisited' to me...I'm not fookin Jeremy Irons.

So I guess that means I have no comment.

One of my favorite groups, ever. And yes, I'm a fop :p

"Your Cover's Blown" (off the "Books" single) is very New Order-ish, I think it might signal a new direction for the musical styles. Absolutely love it :music:

I made my post about "Cover" being a nice new direction for the band, then I realize that "Elec. Renaissance" is basically along the same lines. And on the first f-ing album, no less. :banghead:

I'm losing my grip on my "pop band memory"

Anyway, I love 'em. Can't stand all the "twee" acts that came up because of them, but they can't be blamed for that
