so i'm all pissed off cause I went to the depeche mode concert and missed the raveonettes :( as great as DM WAS AND AS MUCH AS I LOVed them, i really wanted to see the raveonettes but effin trafic by the arena prevented it :(
so after the show, i go to neo which is hosting an after show party. im there, having a great time and all, and then.... my friend holly gets a phone call from her best friend whose friend is a best friend of martin gore. and we were invited to a party where not only fletch, peter (DM keyboardist) and Martin were, but also.... THE FUCKING RAVEONETTES!!!!!!!
by the time we got there, only martin was there. but the whole band for the raveonettes were still there.
funny thing is, i was bitching to a friend about missing the raveonettes and cursing and stuff about how mad i was and she was sitting next to this dude whom i noticed but didnt care to talk to, and she was like, hmmm this is AC. he plays bass for the raveonettes. and i was like hmmmmm hi. and he was like you fucking rock. let me introduce you to the rest of the band. and he did :) and sharon is so hot!
and then martin was there and i didnt say anything at all to him cause i was chilling with the raveonettes and didnt care that martin was next to me like 2 feet away. he was talking to sharon and having shots with my friends. but i thought i'd thank him for the band playing somebody and then i thought i'd mention that his chicken hat was hideous and he should get rid of it and i did, and he didn't say a word and walked away. fuck him. it was an ugly ass fucking hat. anyhoo, the raveonettes fucking rock. i'm sad i missed their performance but it was made up for by meeting them and stuff.
and... the actual DM show. fantastic!!!! even though i was still mad about missing the raveonettes and didn't enjoy it as much as i could have.
