25 years. Yeah, Mr John Lennon. Fantastic lyrics. So, in my opinion, it's very difficult to narrow it down, but let's have your top 3! (Additional information is welcome, but to those who are shy, it's optional)

  1. Watching the Wheels (reminds me of leaving London and the 'highlife' to set up my own business in little old Solihull)
  2. God - wow - what a song! God is a concept, by which we measure our pain.........I don't believe in magic, I don't believe........in bible..........don't believe in HItler; ....don't believe in Jesus........don't believe in Buddha.....don't believe in Mantra.......don't believe in Yoga......don't believe in Kings.......don't believe in Elvis....don't believe in Zubermmann........don't believe in Beatles..........I just believe in me!.... Yoko & me....that's reality; dream is over...... I was the walrus, but now I am John, so dear friends, you'll just have to carry on.... the dream is over....... Whhhoooo.
  3. #9 Dream - Lennon in his 'smoked out' state, but a fantastic lyric and hypnotic melody; despite everything - I truly believe this man loved this woman - 'more I cannot say' for fear of Mr Plod! ' I thought I could feel'... I think our cousins across the pond may like this one.....

Sorry about the lyrics in no.2; the whole song is great; no-one by the way, is allowed to say 'Imagine' or 'Jealous Guy' - cos they are obvious - album tracks would be nice?

Are we talking just Lennon solo or Lennon-McCartney compositions here?

Oh, Beautiful Boy; I'm in tears - reminds me of my little very very premature baby...................... who's an absolute little ..'angel' now! Seriously, I used to sing this to him in his incubator, praying he would be OK.... writing xmas cards and dressing my little 3 year old daughter in h er pyjamas before dad took her home... shit time... but the song means a lot when I look at him now...
