Toker or non Toker

I think everyone knows a burnout or two. They're nature's reminder that all things are relative. Having said that, I've met a lot more people reuined by booze that all the other shit put together. Odd isn't it that the htread constantly wanders off into nastier things, it's like weed doesn;t even come up on Radar these days.

i hate to put a downer on this, but it can have serious long term mental health implications, such as schizophrenia.

No such thing as a free ride, all drugs have their price, from coca cola to cocaine. The legal ones are by far the worst in terms of physical toxicity.

well i was a bit younger once too. i think i got through it ok. but i know people including some friends whose personalty changed and not for better. as i said before weed never did much for me except make me tired, so i never really bothered that much with it.

yeah but Ronnie, I've lived in sandy Perth mate. and i know first hand how strong your weed is. its better than amsterdam's. and mostly grown with sun and water which is good. biggest problem i ever had with it was overeating and staring into the fridge for 10 minutes.

but some of the skunk here has bad chemicals in to make it stronger, and that does fuck you up. and its all grown indoors or with hydroponics.

there was a big scare story round here about 10 years ago, about hoods puting Zinc and other heavy metals in the soapbar hash they're so found of, so it would weigh more. the thing was that amounts of zinc and aluminium in your brain can make you permenatly mental.

Hell my Doctor has me on pills (which are therefor not only legal, but "good for you") which list among their side effects....liver failure and if mixed with ANY alcohol..."accute psychosis". And he WANTS to put me on some that list "permenant mental health disorders, chronic depression and suicde" as the sideys

Heard about the poisoned skunk (super skunk or something?) don't fancy that, it sort of defeats the point of smoking a natrual herb really.

between 17-27 i used to smoke every night, but now it's only on occasion (i.e. whenever it's around).

No 'illicit' drugs for me. Actually, I don't even drink. Not much fun, am I? I think I've gotten too into fitness and that's a whole other problem. Caffeine, however, is my drug of choice. I am trying to curb it though.

The arrival of little creatures like your little throttle-ee there, tends to put the crappers on smoking a bit. firstly because it's always a good idea to let the brain form before deforming it (and passive toking's a bitch), and also because you don't want yer kid saying "my mummy puts chocolate in her rollies" or "my mummy puts mint[1] in her joints so they taste nicer". Whay did i use the female article when you are clearly a bloke....both of the above happened to mates of mine, who thankfully in both cases knew the teacher outside the professional relationship or it could have been nasty.

I'll toke with friends as a social thing. Most of my friends are hippies. My non-Hippie friends are with me on Scouting events so we smoke cigars instead and talk about the drugs we used to do. I only smoke alone if I am in pain--ear ache, muscle pain ect. I gave up ibuprofen and Alleve because they kill your kidneys. Sticking with aspirin. But if I really need to kill pain quickly like when an ear infection is about to burst an ear drum, nothing beats a bowl of cannabis.

Maybe not, but I've seen people I know become completely different personality-wise while they're stoned (as I've explained in the past in similar threads). These same people are perfectly fine when they've only been drinking, BTW. I've never done drugs in my life and I've never quite understood why some people feel the need to. Why would you want to take things that have been proven time and time again to cause nothing but harm? For the record, in case anyone's wondering: yes, I do drink but not much (can't take the hangovers). And no, I'm not religious at all!
