Guys...in both cases, I don;t know how to break it to you...but since the world is NOT building up huge stocks of oil, it is fairly reasaonable to assume that we burn it at approximately the same rate we drill it. And since a well venting on natural pressure usually brings less oil up than one with a working pump ( and seawater injection pump potentially). it's safe to conclude that the iraqi wells were polluting less when cut open than they would have in service. Same with HH, it's a depot, a buffer...that's maybe only 2 days fuel burning (very white smoke isn;t it...lots of diesel I suppose) and it was going to be burned anyway.
