If this was already posted here, I couldn't find it so here we go...
The album will be called "Fundamental" with the single "minimal" preceding it. My guess from their latest stuff that fundamental is a word used to describe going back to their dancey roots.

Cheers for that info......Have all their albums bar POP ART.Kinda stopped searching out for them a couple of years ago when momey goy REALLY tight.Must get up to date now though.I dare say DIGGY will be HAPPY too.
The last one (not disco3, er... the one with the flower on the front which i've got but hardly listened to) was a huge let down.
Here's hoping they up the tempo with this new effort!

New Order also has an album that year, so that's two albums to look forward to for me.

New Order? An album out in 2006? That's forgetting about the legendary delay attached to any NO release. I wouldn't expect anything before 2007. Remember they still need some material for the new album as they only have 7 songs ready.
Good stuff, read about this elsewhere a few weeks ago. Always good to hear about new PSB material.
It's true Release wasn't a very good LP (the flower cover) which was a shame because a) it had one of their best singles 'Home And Dry' and b) Johnny Marr's guitar playing was all over it. On paper that should have been one of their best and most memorable albums but personally I revisit Disco 3 more. Release just didn't have that many great tunes, even the later singles like "I Get Along" sounded just a bit cheesy.
You can't blame them for trying something new with Release though (the guitar sound) but it's right they're returning to their dance origins as reported, it's what they do best.
agreed, althought I didn't think release was THAT bad, I just found it a bit too depressing! Personally, I was actually quite disappointed with Disco 3 because I thought they had mastered dance with Relentless and Disco 3 just felt like a big step backwards (apart from track 4 - can't recall the name)

About time too! I think PSB are brilliant. I know some stuff had not been so good, isn't that the case for every artist at some point in their career?. There have been some brilliant mixes of their songs through the years. I have a brilliant collection. I love them-can't wait to hear the album.:)
For many years my favourite PSB LP was Behaviour. But after Release it is my fave. A fantastic album. Very smart boys they are, aren't they? In 2002 there was no good dance electronic music whatsoever.
As for new PSB dance tracks - they sound more and more obsolete, have you noticed?
"Miracles" and "Flamboyant" were rather good dance tracks, so I hope the new album is more of the same.

Ooh I don't know,they're still good remix territory.Check out the brilliant Eric Prydz remix of Miracles. I hope they tour next year.But let's see a return to the form of their older tours.Saw them at the Apollo on the Release tour,and there was no stage set whatsoever! Just the bare brick wall back stage!

New orders album delays are because they have to edit all bernards whoops, woos and whistles out of each song.
Nonetheless, even if NO's release is delayed, they've got some songs prepared, so they'll probably release an album sometime, right? I'm still happy about PSB's upcoming album, though.
