WOW! that is a splendid view..Redcar, where I still live looks pretty much like Steve's Bangor,If you substitute those nice boats for fishing boats..some regeneration is in progress but we'd like to see more, its pretty scruffy here compared to that little plot you grew up on.:)

Was going to post a picture of Stoke, but I thought it might lower the tone of the thread...:D

With the possible exception of mentioning b*n*.....what could anyone POSSIBLY do to lower the tone anywhere on this site. Get yer pics out for the lads. There must have been ONE sunny day there since the invention of the camera.

Sam if it makes you feel any better....see that long thin pic of the lovely long rolling beach....3 open sewers pour into that bay :)

You haven't seen Stoke yet...It could bring this thread down to its knees (if threads have knees that is)

ROFLMAO you can imagine what was running thru my head when I seen your name Owens. Murals, holes in the ground and burned out cars. Well done on decent pics of the place.

I note the site ignores the existence of Bangor. the must have been.

Was there no pics of the Pickie Pool? That's the only landmark I know in Bangor.

This person always stands and does his preaching.

Here's what he said when the BBC asked about the Olympic Games.

'I couldn't tell you anything about that now.

I'm in the great race - God's race.

That’s the race you want to be in.'

Fradders, not even our very tourism site has any decent pics of Stoke! Ashamed we are, ashamed.

Nice to see a Colorado native here. I live about 35 miles South from Estes.:)

I live on the outskirts of Bolton, very picturesque. Not a patch on Agent Woods pad though. Still we're never at risk from an avalanche!!

where? boulder?

i'm not a native, though. we moved to estes when i was 2, in 1977--a year after the big thompson flood which killed 150 people and five years before the lawn lake flood which destroyed downtown (and missed our house by a few hundred feet). i miss estes before the flood--all cheesy 50s style shops. now it's too, what's the word, tasteful.
