I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you.
OK, movie buffs, it was Rodney Dangerfield's name in Back to School.
Does anyone have one of those 'George, Bobby, Geoff...' type football ones?
For 'left footers' confirmation names tend to be more cringeworthy, mine is Francis :\ohwell:

I WAS going to say that I only knew one jemma and that SO FAR she was quite nice....glad I didn;t now :D
Obviously I don't have any...
However like any catholic child out here, I do have the name of my godfather in my full legal name, plus the mandatory Joseph...
So it's Joseph Roland Nicolas LeBlanc
But don't tell anyone ![]()

If it's not me then you'd better disassociate yourself from her. You only need to know one Jemma from now on.
Bitch.
My mother gave me her middle name: Yockey. Rhymes with jockey. The roommate who shared a room with me two years ago at school used to make fun of it all the time. But, it's just a middle name.
Suzanne.
At least it has seven letters like the rest of my name. 7's always been a lucky number. ![]()
JEM:Actually it WAS you.
I'm off to the pet shop...I figure if i get a couple of rabbits my dog's got a fighting chance.
BTW, repeated some Jem-ism or other to Leanne the other day. her face fell.."well that's me so blown out then, I can't compete with that level of nuts" :D She also said if you find yourself doubting that single life's for you, to give her a ring and she'll talk you back to your sense (her words not mine)

There are some cruel fuckin parents in that land, who inflict their kids with horrible names (don't mean you BTW...just that "Yockey" started me thinking.)
Think you should bring this Leanne to the next outing! It's a new and scary world this singledom, but i'm ok i can assure you!

well when she started saying "I should talk to her" I thought she was gonna say "and tell her how lucky she is that Steve likes her" no such luck She said plenty else and all but it's unrepeatable on NOOL! No can do on bringing her...no taste in music sadly...although she think's they're funny which is HALF way there.
Mark Most dull
Hey! Play nice! Mark's my first name. And Steven's my middle name, making us some kind of NOOL mirror image.
Whci would make you? Unfunny, thick and oversexed?
Blimey! It's like looking in a Bizarro world mirror!

see what i mean about cruel and unusual naming practices?
Common practice in the catholic culture (at least here in continental Europe) is to give several names; usually the name of the godfather/mother and of some of the parents or grandparents.
My complete given name is Benoit Philippe Maurice. Benoit is my first name, Philippe my godfather's first name and Maurice my grandfather's first name. But Philippe Maurice might as well be a French translation of Filip Morris, the brand my parents have been smoking for 40 years at a rate of 50 cigs a day.
Only they know...
Ben wrote: Common practice in the catholic culture (at least here in continental Europe) is to give several names; usually the name of the godfather/mother and of some of the parents or grandparents.
As for this, common practice in Quebec was to name Joseph for a boy, Marie for a girl, then the name of the godfather/godmother, then the first name...
Now it's a fookin nightmare since most traditions are gone and now each woman keep her maiden name, so we have an epidemy of people with 2 last names.. I'm curious to see what will happen with the next generation... ![]()
Here we don't have a middle name, but several. My full name is Jorge (my first name, chosen by my grandmother) Fernando(my father's first name) Caetano (my godfather's name) Vieira (my mother's maiden name) Teixeira (my dad's last name). Pretty complicated, that's why I answer by my first and last names only!

My friend's GF's kid's middle name is Cola, first name Pepsi.
My wife's friend's husband was determined to name his child Elvis, but when they had a daughter, she was able to convince him to settle on naming her Mary.
Mary Elvis.

It is her middle name, but she didn't want me to have my father's middle name, which is Martin, so she gave me hers. But my real first name - Iren - is some obscure eastern European name, so neither my middle or last names sound decent with it.
I don't have one, either. I have to put NMN on legal forms, and few people misinterpret this.
Robert Joseph...about 2 years ago at work it was decreed names on the lockers!!!!
as a joke-I put my full given name-Edward Robert Joseph Dalder tho I have gone by Ed or Eddie my whole life
The name of the guy who chased all the snakes out of Ireland and then cast a magic spell to convert them all into Catholics. I was born on the drunkest day of the year
.
Anthony AKA Tony AKA the coont that used to run Factory Records(sorry, slightly pissed rant resulting from too many glasses of red with redwine/garlic sauce mince and pasta- absolutely fooking delicious BTW- no ingredients from Tesco tho' Mike).

As I'm not a catholic, I just got one name… but my parents never married (thanks to Him :D ), so I've got my 2 last names since I was a child…

Karine, you may not have seen NO Story on video(or DVD)yet, or if you have, just think of the NO Show segments done with Keith Allen and the band- Stephen gets asked by Keith what his full name is- to which Steve replies in all innocence most likely; Stephen Paul David Morris. Keith then replies that that's quite a mouthful and that Gillian would probably know all about that!! ![]()

you've got a great black&white photographer though!:)
If Jack H or any of the other NO sprogs/wives/partners happen to find this thread while surfing NOOL, feel free to fill us in on the middle name situation re. Hooky, Gillian, Barney and, dare I say it, Phil? The other middle name I know for certain is from thier deceased former frontman whose full monicker was Ian Kevin Curtis(source; Touching From A Distance, Debbie Curtis's biog on Ian and JD, which as most of us know by now is becoming the film Control directed by Anton Corbijn).
