I'll give you a clue.

If God stopped a bad thing happening..

Then he/she would instantly have stopped creation.

Dont mess with creation man :smoking:

Let it flow.....

the traditional christian explanation, wheather you accept this or not, is that since the sin of Adam and Eve we live in a sinful fallen world. that's why bad things even happen to good people and even to innocent young children. God whatever reason then chooses to intervene or not.

personally i think this really sucks.

"Mommy, what is that man doing to the guitar?"

"Look away, now, don't encourage him son...disgraceful that they let his type out in public."

"But Mommy, isn't he cool?"

"Child, hush now! There's nothing cool about being a folk musician. It just leads to a path of loneliness and playing with yerself. Now come along before he starts asking for requests, if you know what's good for ya!"

the whole fallacy of religion is the belief that people wanna believe that they are so damn incredibly important and the whole universe should revolve around them... all living things live and die... all life is conflict, consuming things to live, then inevitably getting sick or injured or old then pathetic sad death.

face it, individual people are not that damn important every second of the day, and if there is an anthropomorphic god it doesnt give much of a shit about your selfish whining and bitching, you are going to die anyway... whatever the purpose is for the universe your life is comparitively less than a second in time in the life history of the universe... get over your selfish subjective perpective, you are not all that, sorry...
