I have an mpeg/wmv/avi splitter. But I received a VCD with Ronnie Lane material and I want to split the files.

Anyone know where I can get a free splitter for these types of files.

This piece of shit I use at the moment is Microsoft 98 SE.....and slower than Rocket Mick.

Cheers Mike, any help would be appreciated. The files are .DAT

Your best bet may be to convert them to mpg or avi first?

or do you wanna split 'em up "in place" in the vcd image itself? that's gonna get tricky, you'll probably have to do it with vcd authoring software, and you maye trouble finding soemthing like that which will import an already compiled vcd.

FWIW, if it's VCD, the intrinsic files are mpeg1, and if it's svcd they are mpeg2.

Cheers peeps, finally got it sorted, I simply downloaded a video splitter which converts from file type to file type - then did a search for a serial crack :D

After 3 hours of fucking about and losing sound on my computer I finally got there.....after reinstalling every codec under the sun.

I have now transferred The Faces doing Richmond on TOTP in 1970 into a wmv file.

I cannae wait to get a new computer so I can fuck about with DVD's :brow:
