Post what, in your opinion, have been the best gig riots of any group of any time period here. Bottle-throwing wars count only if an actual war and not a single drunken punter's hurl. Bonus points if you were actually present at any of stated gigs.

never seen a gig riot luckily.was at u2 at milton keynes ball when a then unknown r.e.m.got badly bottled..preston guild hall when smiths finished after 2 minutes because of coin attacks.big fight at blackburn king georges when tpk was on at the end.i hit john lydon in the eye with a fag once and he walked off. neither of them was a riot though

That one sounds like quite the riot! 
well. I was all present and correct for the Jesus And Mary Chain at North London Poly in 85 where myself and a few others were ticketless so we climbed through an open window at the side of the venue which took us through a toilet and then onto the stage where the support band (Jasmine Minks?) were into their set, we climbed down off the stage amazed at our luck getting in. We then witnessed a 'riot' consisting of tables,bottles and PA gear being hurled in the direction of the stage.
I was also at the Electric Ballroom that same year witnessing yet another Jesus And Mary Riot. (that one I filmed

Didn't John Peel champion them?! What would that cuntsocks from the Observer have made of one of their gigs?! Had they no respect for Peel, etc, etc, blah de fcuking blah.
Molly told a good tale about getting into one of their gigs illegally and climbing into the dressing room and having a straight toe-to-toe with a certain Mr B.Gillespie.

Yeah, loved those early 'Joke gigs, always felt as if something might kick off - loved the tension!
Only thing of note were Aztec Camera gobbed off stage supporting them at Hammersmith Palais in '82. Those really were the days
