Twist's house totally wired!

Ever since I bought The Beast I wanted to get my old pc up and running for the rest of the family. Kids + pc = fooked up pc. Well I bought a router and the little bastards got some X-Box shit with a 3 month X-Box live coupon. Good timing on their part. I just put everything together including the 25' cable from the router to the X-Box. Of course that greedy bastard Gates of microshaft demanded my credit card before he allowed the little bastards onlive. But watching them play Star wars Battle Front II live, and doing quite well I may add, was worth it. Even the $19 USD for the cable.

Now it is time I place a password on The Beast and prevent others from wrecking my pc. Tomorrow I will have a lan battle with them Plan to kick their asses at panzer General and Fighter Ace. They will kill me at any FPS.

Ever play any Steel Panthers? now that's a game.

OK the Beast has it installed and now the Sony is DLing it. Is there an online server for multiplayer?

Is that a turn based thing like battle isle(the old ones) or historyline?

Turn base. Just check it out briefly. Panzer General much better IMHO but I know no one that has it and online it appears dead.

looked at screenies...it FUCKING IS HISTORYLINE as far as I can tell.....I may sleep with you or the ugly relative of your choice.

Just got done with a multiplayer game of Panzer General 3D. I am too lazy to fagger out how to make a lan connection so I hosted an online game with my other pc. NOW, IF I learn how to duplicate the PG3D disc so that other pcs can instal and play it is there anyone interested?

My problem with Steel Panthers is that the map scrolls too fast and the moves are complicated. PG3D is very simple with better graphics. But in the meantime I will learn SP.

you can slw the scrolling.....it's the "movement delay" option....perfectly clear name NOT.

( know I only played the thing once....but i used to be called the "menu master" for my options page poking skills.)

It's virtually the same thing as my beloved Historyline 14-18 on the amiga (later, on the PC, in German on an amiga Emu such was my love of it) it just seems a LOT more complex.....and the tutorial, errrr isn't one....it tells you nothing, you just have to work it out on yer own. The main difference between this and histoyline is that in historyline you did your moves, then while the computer/opponent moved it's units, you made your attacks.

Yeah, SP is definitely a much more infantry-centric game. The tank tactics and armor values are there, but the order of the day is fire suppression-and-maneuver stuff. It can get pretty tiring in the bigger scenarios, but the theoretical invasion of Japan one was great. All-in-all though i'd rather play Combat Mission or Close Combat for a tactical game.

Panzer General 3D and Scorched Earth

Watch out for the Canadaian Postman but I ordered 3 games and paid less than $21 USD. Much easier and faster than SP.
