really, really, really wanted a Project Debut III, but ended up having to get a Marrantz because richer sounds had run out :(. The Marrantz is great though. My mate has the one that is 2 up from the Debut, with the carbon fibre tonearm and I was drooling over it yesterday at his new years party thinking 'twat, twat, twat'.

I quite a lot of NO 12" now, Shellshock extended mix is amazing, the extra 3 minutes or so gives it a more epic feel than the substance cut. the 6:46 version of Perfect kiss and Perfect Pit are also well worth it.

Oh, and I love the original version of Ceremony and WFTSC 7".

I wanted one but my Mum said you've only got 6 vinyls so there's no point in having one. Any idea why I've only got 6 vinyls so far mum?

My missus' cousins boyfriend has 2 stereo systems sat in his loft, apparently worth a few quid, when I mentioned my turntable was fucked - he said he would give me one of his sound systems.

Hoping he's gonna nip down with it today :D

Job's a good un!!!

One of my subordinates has got a turntable and that's how I'm gonna listen to records. I bought for myself three Mireille Mathieu 7" singles and I'm going to get WFTSC 7"s (that guy actually is really into Secret Machines, so would be interesting to hear his opinion on New Order).

How do you know the ones you buy are good and listenable? A little, barely noticable crack can marr the whole side of a 7". Or you check them at the record store?

when i bought the records i was living with a roommate who had a turntable and i listened to them then. when we moved, she took the stereo with her.
